Was listening to his post match interview and the way he said that he wasnt picking up wickets in India over last 10 matches and hence Umesh, Shami deserved to be in eleven before him and also that his issue was not having wickets which he wants to improve.

Has he become matured or does he read ICF to know his failings.

If he do know

Put a lot of body into releasing the ball and wrist position looked good.

Yep, due to which he is getting that extra zip  which was his quality

Also the seam is landing almost straight which gets that movement...........if he keeps up this form he shud be a regular. Wanna seee his consistency now, in the past also he bowls well in one game and then starts bowling defensively

He talks more sense because he married a sensible woman. He can no longer talk about jumping off 24th floor for Dhoni ....that makes him look 100 % more mature.:p:

On a serious note...he bowled well and he is older and hopefully wiser now.

Beetleji, you have a good sense of humour, Jab Ishant realized he doesn't have a free tkt like he had under Dhoni he improved, next Umesh needs to be rested for me, n BK too oops, I mean he just got married so!

True.

With a bunch of fast bowlers in waiting, all guys in the team have to keep working hard to retain their place.Too much competition and rightly so.

No TINA situation in bowling .

After 78 tests? The South African tour will give a better clarity. I hope he does well because he would add a great variety to our bowling attack. Bhuvi, Shami, and Ishant should be our pacers for Newlands on Jan 5th. Umesh, for all the good work he's done in India, I feel, will not be very helpful on South African pitches.
