Oldhere Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Was listening to his post match interview and the way he said that he wasnt picking up wickets in India over last 10 matches and hence Umesh, Shami deserved to be in eleven before him and also that his issue was not having wickets which he wants to improve. Has he become matured or does he read ICF to know his failings. If he do know

Seam position is very good now. Oldhere Posted November 27, 2017 Author Posted November 27, 2017 For the first time in last 7 years, i feel we should play Ishant as 3rd seamer instead on Umesh (me being his biggest fan) as Umesh seems to be more suited to indian pitches than african. express bowling and LORD_analyst 1 1
LORD_analyst Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 umesh's skull would be bust open by elgar ,amla and du plessis ...if he goes to saf...huge letdown
beetle Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 He talks more sense because he married a sensible woman. He can no longer talk about jumping off 24th floor for Dhoni ....that makes him look 100 % more mature. On a serious note...he bowled well and he is older and hopefully wiser now. MCcricket, King Tendulkar and Jimmy Cliff 3
CoverDrive Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Ishant has married into the first family of Indian's womens basketball. 4 sisters who have played for India sandeep and velu 2
express bowling Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Bowled really well in this match. Bowled in the right areas consistently ....with pace, bounce and seam movement both ways. Put a lot of body into releasing the ball and wrist position looked good. Happy to see him making the batsman play and got 5 wickets as a result. Mosher, mancalledsting and LORD_analyst 3

Yep, due to which he is getting that extra zip which was his quality Also the seam is landing almost straight which gets that movement...........if he keeps up this form he shud be a regular. Wanna seee his consistency now, in the past also he bowls well in one game and then starts bowling defensively Edited November 27, 2017 by Ankit_sharma03 express bowling 1

Beetleji, you have a good sense of humour, Jab Ishant realized he doesn't have a free tkt like he had under Dhoni he improved, next Umesh needs to be rested for me, n BK too oops, I mean he just got married so! beetle 1
rkt.india Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Ishant keeps giving these false hopes. SK_IH and Peshust 2
mancalledsting Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Ishant was bowling fuller, faster and on off stump. If he can keep this up- he may jump into starting xi overseas. We'll see how he does next game- that will give us a better idea of his consistency or lack there of LORD_analyst 1

True. With a bunch of fast bowlers in waiting, all guys in the team have to keep working hard to retain their place.Too much competition and rightly so. No TINA situation in bowling .
Forever Indian Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Oh yeah, matured big time MechEng, Shunya, velu and 2 others 1 2 2
surajmal Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 More mature (and faster apparently) than spraygun. Thats all that matters.
Cricketics Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Ishant is the biggest troll on ICF. Don’t go by Ranji and 2nd test. Wait for few months. Vilander and speedheat 1 1
putrevus Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 We will see what this page will be after and during SA tour.
Sandeep99 Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 After 78 tests? The South African tour will give a better clarity. I hope he does well because he would add a great variety to our bowling attack. Bhuvi, Shami, and Ishant should be our pacers for Newlands on Jan 5th. Umesh, for all the good work he's done in India, I feel, will not be very helpful on South African pitches.
Laaloo Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 I don't know if he has matured but he definitely has improved in one aspect that he can hold off one end. He can definitely be a good supporting 3rd seamer that has been our downfall on overseas tours. sarcastic, express bowling, maniac and 1 other 4
