cowboysfan Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 (edited) Australia have finally fixed their t20 side, they got power hitters all the way to 7 with finch coming down the order.on flat wickets they will be close to unstoppable.players like dhoni and pandey who struggle to get a run a ball are not t20 material. Trichromatic Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 India has luxury to drop a player who has SR of 147 in T20Is. Show how deep and strong our T20I batting is. Lord 1
speedheat Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 This current dhoni would have carried drinks in Australian squad sergio04, adi B, velu and 2 others 1 1 3

Jimmy Cliff Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 (edited) Dhoni has been obsolete in T20Is since 2009 at least. Edited February 18, 2018 by Jimmy Cliff Laaloo and beetle 2

Laaloo Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 Finch is actually doing very well in the middle overs and you have hitters like Maxwell and stoinis to finish things off. Such a strong side. sarchasm and Turning_track 1 1
Turning_track Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 When I was watching Finch and Maxwell making a mockery of the target of 243 against NZ ,our t20 selections for this series was flashing in my mind. Dhoni/Pandey/Rahul/DK competing for the spot of no. 4 and 5. Do we really think our batsmen can bludgeon the opposition at 200/220+ SR if top 3 depart after 140/3 in 15 overs? When Kohli departed we were 108/3, cruising at a run rate of 11 in 10th over. But we were huffing & puffing to reach even 200, making only 46 runs in last 5 overs. Our top heavy approach have already cost us a few ICC trophies, covering the cracks of a brittle middle order. It's not something new, we are still trying to find a proper combo since the regression of Dhoni, Raina, Yuvi. Tbh I find more confidence in our bowling department in any format than our middle order, never thought I would say this about India's batting a few years back. sergio04 1

sarcastic Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 (edited) I think Manish Pandey has given a big phainty for all his detractors including the OP!!!!!! Manish Pandey is true servant of Indian Cricket. Edited February 21, 2018 by sarcastic Shunya 1
The Dark Horse Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Pandey deserves a run in T20s! I think it has to do with Raina's attitude
Cricketics Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Manish Pandey plays Kohli kind of role. If he comes early to bat then he can score quickly. He started hitting boundaries after 15 balls. This doesn’t work when hr comes in 15th over in a t20 game. If Kohli is not playing or we need an opener, I would give Pandey a chance, but he is not required at 3rd down in a t20 game. He is better suited to come in first 8 overs.
Trichromatic Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Except Maxwell and Finch, all aussies batsmen have either similar or lesser SR than Dhoni.
