I found this tendency for him to get bowled as early as 2015. He was getting bowled to Dhammika Prasad in SL . He hasnt rectified this mistake after 3 years and he is an opener FFS. Batsmen at test level hate getting bowled more so for an opener

I am 100% sure this Gill is a far better replacement of KL Rahul. So is Shaw. Openers carry the fortunes of the side. India has tail at both ends. There is no head.

Finally the TM realised he can't bat outside Asia and is dropped. Agarwal is lucky that Rahul and Vijay have set tailenders runs expectations from openers. Even if he averages pathetic 25 it will be massive upgrade over both Vijay and Rahul for sena series. Should look to average 35+ though to begin with in Sena. Don't think anyone can do as badly as the sacked openers.

If Rahul cannot bat, even Kohli can't. Last two series against Australia, compare the stats... Kohli averages 27 less than Rahane as well.. Laanat hain

That is worse. India needs consistent players. Not clicking in one inning every series. Any goddamn domestic player can do the same. Clicking once every series. Heck Even Rayudu can do the same.
