Hostile bowling at its best ...

Well...

This is not just the best hostile bowling by WI but by any team in the recent past.

There were instances where one bowler was fast and hostile. But here , except holder, all other bowlers are cranking up the speed

It is a treat to watch.

Jason holder seems to have the best inswinger in the game right now. They are indeed a good bowling attack on their pitches.

He had indeed developed his game by many folds. He is a all conditon bowler and very good lower order batsmen.

This is what is called Irresistible Fast Bowling !

Reminiscent of the era of Holding, Garner, Marshall and Croft.

As West Indians would say "Pace like Fyah !!

When on song, no batsman can withstand it.

Greg Chappell and Sunil Gavaskar tried, so did Javed Miandad and Allan Border.

However, there is no batsman in the current era who could average 40 plus against that attack...….not Kohli, not Smith, not Williamson..and certainly not Root.

England, in short, are home town bullies.

They have actually taken away this mantle from India.

Like what Ambrose did to them in 1994, England will again get their derrieres sorely kicked in this series.

^ Exactly, Ball is simply bouncing and coming off the surface slightly quicker.

Its not easy to play on such surface.. because of above characteristics even bad balls are risky to dispatch

it was mostly accuracy and hitting the seam .neither holder nor roach bowled that quick .also thank the duke ball.

Roach's top speed 136 kph. But the movement he got with control was nothing but phenomenal

Watching Sam Curran get bounced out was a bit of delayed malham on some painful wounds.

We should have targeted his rib cage we didn't do it more same with lots of these British should have bowled more bouncers

Jasprit bumrah and shami will be unplayable on those surface

Last series even Bhuvi was running through them on their pitch, took a 5 fer in the only match captain played him in

any highlight links

How is a top speed of 136 by Roach really fast or like fire? That's the speed bhuvi bowls at now. Only Gabriel was over 140.

Showed on TV ...  Roach had a fastest speed of 136.8 kph and an average speed of 132.8 kph after taking 5 wickets.

That is just medium-fast.

Alzarri Joseph was bowling 128 kph to 141 kph.

That is fast-medium.

Only Gabriel was bowling quick.

Say there is a sports bike which can reach 250 kmph and a scooter that can overexertert itself to go to 100 kmph. When both are being driven 100 kmph, there is a difference b/w how they function at that speed .... for e.g. the sports bike could be at 3000 rpm, while the scooter at its limit  :winky:
