sandeep Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Instant flash-back to the mid-1980s when Windies used to terrorize most teams like this. Every game. Srikanth. Sharjah. Marshall. 1st ball 4, 2nd ball 6, 3rd ball bowled. Back then, it wasn't a question whether you'd lose to the West Indies. It was a question of how badly you'd lose. Welcome back West Indies. We missed you. philcric, Laaloo, Cricketics and 3 others 2 4
velu Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 fortunately i was not old enough to witness them rolling us ( but young enough and used to see saffers and then lankans mauling us for fun ) Switchblade 1
philcric Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Windies should probably play another proper pacer in Roach/Gabriel in place of Brathwaite. Thomas-Cottrell-Gabriel-Holder-Russell and Nurse. SK_IH, express bowling and Ankit_sharma03 3
Khota Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Height and their fitness gives them a tremendous advantage. It is some amazing stuff they are displaying.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Bouncer did strike but this was more like giving away wickets. I’d wait for WI to bat before saying they are back. Yet to bat long in this tournament. dont see anyone who can pull them off from a like 30 for 3 situation

dial_100 Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Batting is still in question. Besides, this is a white ball so bounce is quite softer and tamed once ball is 10-15 overs old. So beyond 25-30 overs mark, short is not much of an option if the batter can swing well. But great balling nonetheless from this attack.

Football is big in certain places, but cricket is still up there. The CPL has helped things big time. Old school windies fans like to moan about T20 leagues, but the truth is that worldwide franchise cricket has created an economic pathway for the renaissance of cricket in the caribbean.

You want to give Braithwaite every chance to be in rhythm - if Russell did not have fitness issues, they should do that in a heartbeat. Plus, Braithwaite helps them #batdeep.

Yeah, Russell's fitness is a big issue. Anyway Windies' MO in LOIs in the last so many years has been to out-bat the opposition.

No it isn't, I go there all the time and cricket is still far and away the king. Its just that other countries have better players too now. rock777 1

chewy Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Though it did backfire when they continued peppering Counter.Nile and just kept swiping them for 4s and 6s, score 92 of 60 WI lost track of perspective without trying anything else to him JourneyMan 1
