Pandya_Power Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Yeah I noticed this too! Really explain why India has been doing well off late in the ODI format. Decent sample size too. Shami should be starting ahead of Bhuvi in the XI. Kuldeep Yadav is getting back into his groove. His wickets tally should pick-up as we reach the business end of the tournament and the pitches get slower.

Averaging 25 or less was far easier on those days as economy rates were lower. For me, in this era 30 is as good 25 in the 90s or early 2000s. MCcricket and philcric 2

Our current bowling lineup + 2011 WC batting lineup will win the World Cup comfortably...this current middle order is just a freaking joke. Without Virat, Rohit, this team's batting is just so bad & mediocre. Not much hitting options other than Hardik.

Batting woes are largely due to the idiot selectors who messed up by not trying options for No.4, opener slot and even 5 and 6. Tried to stick with a small group and only kept giving them chances. Irrespective of result, heads need to roll for these blunders. Shreyas Iyer, Mayank Agarwal, Shaw, Gill should have been given more chances. Kohli even made an emphatic statement on the media midway that no:4 spot is solved with Rayudu. And now Rayudu is not playing. They should have groomed Iyer or Mayank Agarwal or Rishab Pant instead bahubali 1

Iconoclast Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 This Indian bowling attack like the Pak attack that won the CT has the ability to pick up wickets in the middle overs. When you keep taking wickets at regular intervals it is difficult to get big scores. IMO India with this attack should be able to defend 250 or more on a typical pitch.

Even if we exclude non-test playing nations, their records are quite good.
