Natural or whatever, yes he can bat on top.  Point is he is inconsistent. His selection even in test is always debated because he has been so incosistent there too when opening.

We haven't had a 100+ opening partnership since Rahul moved to the middle order. Tuk tum or whatever, having a good start is what we have been missing for quite sometime. A team build for the last 4-5 years as a top heavy batting unit cannot suddenly expect middle order to take all the responsibility.

 

But then we want to bat Rahul OOP, play him as a keeper and yet expect him to suddenly start doing what Dhoni did. Not going to happen. But then do the captain and coach understand this?

Opposition u19 teams: 

 

1. don’t do age fraud

2. field players who are talented but probably not fully developed yet

3. players have focus on development and basics than six hitting already 

4. focus is on providing opportunities rather than solely winning

Han matlab sab faltu hai but kohli is great. All the past win was because of kohli but last few series loss is due to talentless team.
