Experts at Sony waxing lyrical about Dhawan's T20 batting. Agarkar thinks he starts very aggressively these days & Manjrekar thinks he is a improved T20 batsman :hatsoff:

He thrives on momentum, maxwell served him trash he capitalised on it and after that there was nothing stopping him. Wont get chances like these against full strength teams

Agarkar before the start of the game wanted Mayank to play over Shikhar.  Hopefully Mayank gets to play the next game now as series is in the bag now.

May be the aussies made a mistake by bowling into him. He wasn’t comfortable the previous over when they bowled wide.

He definitely has an issue with wide slower ones. They should have stuck to that. His power game against pacers has improved though, no longer just a spin basher.

Overall a good wij and lot of positives with contributions from natarajan, iyer and pandya. Even samson has not wasted time but it would have been the icing on he cake in this series if he had made a score that would have made him unstoppable.

Ok ,Tell me which player in this England side can be termed as inconsistent. Roy ,bairstow, buttler, morgan, stokes, root,Malan are all consistent players and i am damn sure they will never entertain players who are good just for a single hit.
I know that Samson has the potential and he should be given more chances but he needs to up his game. Atleast make 25 runs on an  average.

They never were consistent before 2015 it is only from there they become consistent when their TM understood those little things in LOIs and started entertaining them

He FAILED! Didn't take it deep. Should have tuk tuk'ed till the last ball refusing singles and then wham! in the last ball.

lol msd usually finishes the game before the last ball. What I meant was last ball of the game. I mean msd in his prime not the pretender in the last few years

aight Pandu getting a lot of love already, but that post-game interview, crediting Natarajan fully, talking about the need for everyone to play positive cricket, so rest of the batting lineup gets a chance (i.e. DONT EAT BALLS UP TOP).  Nicely said.

What i liked about Kohli today after a long time was his little innovation ,an ABDV flick for six,he shouldn't be thinking about curbing his instinct and play t20s the way it should be these days atleast after a reasonable start and give as much chnce to Samson, Pant,SKY,Kishan as possible before t20 WC,rotate few seniors ones to get a young core before consecutive t20wcs and upcoming 50over wc

*Not saying SKY is young

None of top three in Indian lineup are explosive.Dhawan even with this performance should not part of the team when Rohit comes back.

Sadly, Rohit is another tuk-tuk baaz. We are doomed! We win despite these weaklings at the top. And it will happen more not than often.

I think you didn't understand what I've said, I said first of all not to compare ourselves with england because it's the first time in century they have gotten some great players for limited over ,few of them operate on a atg level and few of them are real good players, we don't have there resources and as far as sanju samsung goes we need his kind of players who can take the game on ,;they might fail many times but when they perform they can win you games dare I say even tournaments. Today his gameplay was very appropriate for the situation we were in because its very easy to go with the flow and play 5 dot balls but it's different to get going when the other end is scoring slow.Im not sure this is the right approach for Odis but t20 it's the only way to go. I hope virat will persist with him just like dhoni did with the likes of rohit and virat himself.

On an outstanding day like this also, he didn't get the recognition he richly deserves. Imagine how well he will be treated when the inevitable bad days occur.

Yup that's a real worry for me as well but I think virat is quite good in terms handling bowler though it's the opposite for the batsman. I hope Natarajan himself makes full use of his skills during his good form.

Samson needs a longer rope at no 4. We need to back him in T20 cricket.  I still think he is more reliable than Iyer & Pandey.

One among SKY or Kishan can be tried as well at the Top.  Rest of the team looks good.  Bumrah Nattu will be handful on slowish Indian pitches.  We have a shot at WT20 just need to back right guys.

Lol i thgt ppl here didn't care about bi lateral series :phehe: fir itna shor w macha rahe ho bhai

I still don't care about bilaterals, but happy since these wins have come due to players like Nattu, Pandya and to a lesser extent even Sanju, Iyer. Looking forward to the possibilities of tweaking our squad in 2021 when we have much more at stake....T20 WC, Asia Cup, Eng home bilaterals. Had we won cos of top 3 or the same guys like Bumrah, Shami, Chahal doubt many here would have bothered.

If Aussies keep playing Steve Smith in t20s they can kiss T20 world cup good bye. This guy is a horrible t20 player.

he plays odis like t20s and t20s like odis
