Sehwag- i dont understand how dhawan is dropped in t20

Apart from the obvious stupid statement notice the big indian player ego statement - sehwag will not go on tour as 3rd opener ....WTF

The other day in Cricbuzz same guy was saying rohit should play in place of Dhawan for 3rd match . Ajeeb Aadmi hai.!

This is what happened to Viru as well but Dhoni had the balls to do it sooner & on a large scale unlike BeeRAT.   Seniority complex is never going away in Indian cricket.  Someone must ask him..  How many years have Dhawan left in him?

Asking Dhawan's performance in two T20 WC's forbidden..  Everyone believes in a myth that he is Tournament bully.  That's Where logic goes out of the window.

Gambhir kept scoring tons of runs in IPL after being dropped from the India team, even turning around KKR's fortunes and winning IPL for them. Was not picked again. This when he won us two ICC finals!

 

Same should happen with Dhawan. Let him score a 1000 runs in IPL, should not be selected for int'l cricket again. Has had his opportunity and he failed to make a mark in T20Is.

Dhawan isn't a good t20 bat. 

 

The overall sentiment regarding Dhawan on this forum is shocking to say the least who remains one of our most clutch player and icc tournament bully  but still if the argument is about t20 then Dhawan doesn't deserve a spot, Rahul and Rohit are better than him if you look at career stats and even ability yo accelerate, another factor is that age is not on his side, so Kishan should be our 3rd opener, we need to blood in youngsters in one format atleast.

Dhawans past his prime. Maybe the Delhi -Delhi angle is what is keeping his place in the squad (besides Bhangra partner bhi to zaroori hai)

 

Kohli should have closed out the series with Rohit and Ishan at the top and SKY in the middle order and then experiment..We are yet to see what SKY is capable of.

 

Dhawan needs to go either which ways...bhangda or no bhangda

Listened to the entire clip. While Sehwag did come out in support of Dhawan (did not slate any youngsters), hecvery clearly says if Dhawan is not your first choice opener, don't keep him in the team. That part is logical and makes complete sense.

 

Even his part about IPL 2021 performance impacting WC squad selection is true. Kohli-Shastri, like the prep for 2019 WC, are clueless about their team. Only thing fixed is Kohli's position and that he will bat at 3. Expect them to mess up the team selection.

At 1.04 he clearly says if he had to pick Dhawan-rohit are the best pair acc to him
