Lol I remember Faf sent in somebody else just for the toss in a test during the recent SA vs Ind series, because he had lost all tosses until then. Didn’t work though, the replacement lost the toss as well

I still think the best solution is to have one toss prior to the first match of a series.  After that the captains alternate choice in future matches.

 

In tournaments I guess you have to stick with current process unless maybe lower ranked team gets to choose?

Then host teams will start making pitches based on when the home team plays. Btw Ganguly won only 42 perc tosses.. so kohli is a lucky captain in that regard with 46
