From opening the batting to relying on each other on the field to bonding off it, Kohli and Sharma have ticked all the right boxes to understand each other's perspective better. Staying inside the bio-bubble for weeks meant a lot of extra time on hand and that helped. 
 

 

So there indeed was an issue between the two of them. Now this clarifies the entire controversy before the Aus tour regarding Rohit's injury. Someone was definitely feeling jealous and insecure. There were obvious attempts by Kohli's to talk to Rohit during the LOIs. Was it genuine or was it just for public consumption remains to be seen.

The body language between the two wasn't positive at all. Kohli seemed to be pretending to talk to Rohit just for the sake of it, as if too was part of the PR, which the TOI report also alludes to. Another IPL success for Rohit and failure for Kohli will only further widen the chasm

So many players will be itching to take badla on Kohli this IPL. Rohit, Kishan, SKY, KL, Chahar Jr etc are the usual suspects but it would be funny if Pujara gets to play against RCB and pulls off a rapid 50.

Please watch start of last over if possible . there were 3 guys advising Nattu .  Rohit told something to Kohli  but Kohli seem to be not interested in that and was talking to Nattu. Rohit seemed agitated . After Kohli spoke , all disperse , but at the end Rohit puts his hand on Nattu's shoulder and telling him something just before he bowls. Most probably must have told him to stick to his best ball .  Very interesting passage of play in the light of these revelations !

The AUS series has given a big lesson to Kohli - that he is not indispensable any more .

Have you seen more  friendlier disposition by VK towards team mates including juniors post AUS series . Could be a PR stuff or could be some introspection .

One more loss at World tourney , his captaincy is numbered at least in  1 format .

Actually this should happen ASAP .

But worrying thing is he will now not take rest in any of the series even in bi laterals with tier 2 teams .as he knows Others will make his life difficult by their performances

He is already 6-0 over Kohli (5 IPL trophies + 1 CL trophy). What else can be more embarrassing for Kaptaan Bravado than his own India TM owning him royally.

I liked how at the end Rohit took over the control of who should bowl. His indirect message to Kohli was "zyada complex mat soch aur zyada ungli mat kar" and Kohli was like "Thik hai mein boundary pe ja raha hu fir". That moment tells who is the leader in that team.

The article could be gossip too. All we see is TOI understands and sources say. How do you know that the journalist didn’t just talk to his grandmother and write the article?

Yes even in the interview after opening with Kohli you could clearly sense that Rohit was not at all comfortable with it being a long term option

The body language between Kohli and Rohit is a sure shot give away. Or the public criticism of Rohit by Kohli before the Aus series when Dada had to step in.

This was visible even before vk became the LOI captain. When we mentioned these on reddit, for example, we were met with a lot of comments like you are a kohli hater, you are overthinking it etc. I am just glad to have joined this forum. These kind of comments really are targeted with abusive replies or sometime even bans and post removals on reddit.

Reddit is so ridiculous man, they suspended a 6 year old accout of mine for no reason whatsoever. I hadn't visited the site for a while and when I returned, my account was suspended! I didn't provide an email when signing up, so now I cant get it reinstated either.
