He might have said it in a lighter vein without any malice but still comes across as dumb.

Also apart from making a bucketloads of money had he done something for women’s hockey like sponsorship etc he would get some leeway there. I am not saying he owes anyone anything but to mooch off it he should have some credibility shouldn’t he?

As a part of the shooting of Chak de India, the production team refurbished two hockey stadiums and fixed the grass/ turf. Something the hockey federation of India had put off for a while.

What is he mooching off?

It's hilarious that you think that SRK is posting this to steal the thunder of the hockey team.

Buuuuuuurrrrnnnn :giggle:

Marijne pretty much told SRK to his face that he's useless in real life. Legend! :hatsoff:

It's banter. People joke.

Humour/Joking around may be an alien and difficult to comprehend concept in the USA, but it's acceptable behaviour here. :dontknow:

I have seen a trend here on ICF, posters really hate the all successful, superstars who gave it all and are now reaping benefits of their sweat.

While moderately successful  , or  talented people with a questionable work ethic are loved beyond all measures, just shows the general attitude and insecurity. Maybe it's just a defense mechanism.

I already said there was probably no malice in his statement but using this opportunity to plug his role seems way to convenient

I would have had more respect for him had he called the Olympic coach the real life Kabir Khan not call himself an ex-coach  .

I know he’s trying to be nice and sincere, but he could have avoided that “ex-coach” part, that sounds a bit condescending to me. Imagine if SSR (R.I.P, god rest his soul) tweeted at Kohli before a WC final saying “atb, your ex-captain”

That's a joke. I chuckled at that.

I really don't get why people are so upset over that coach part. Don't see any condescension whatsoever.

If the late SSR were to tweet what you mentioned, I'd probably chuckle at that too. More so coz it would be directed at Kohli.

And Kohli has to reach a WC final!!!
