rkt.india Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Most important thing is movement of backfoot in coordination with front foot. Why Kohli gets out to off spinners so much? Because his back foot just doesn't open. It is stuck while front foot moves towards the ball but backfoot doesn't. Vijy and cowboysfan 2

What is Kohli's average against off spinners? Is it bad?

R!TTER Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Tbf he was in good form even after 2017, then Kohli shoved his BFF in SA & as they say the rest is history vijaydude and Lord 2
vvvslaxman Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Many of us were crying for his inclusion even in the NZ tour. KL Rahul/Gill instead of Shaw/Mayank (who both struggled in LOIs and also tour games). Gill was terrific in the tour game. KL was good in the LOI. He looked different more composed. We already started seeing some maturity even when he played in the IPL although was criticized for slow approach. But he gave an impression that if he decides to buckle down he is not easy to dislodge. India probably should have utilized his services a littler earlier. Vk1 and Vijy 2

This also shows the importance of going back to the drawing board when something is clearly and grossly wrong. No point in continuing with such a batter ... as success won't come till the deficiency is rectified. Vijy and Mosher 2

He will be attacked with full length/Good length deliveries seaming in /out. Need to practice hard his front foot game with forward defense and use the long reach to drive on front foot . I am certain he will come out successful with sustained effort and also balancing his already good back foot game .
Serpico Posted August 19, 2021 Posted August 19, 2021 People are reading too much into the stance. This os the real reason for the turnaround
