All hail the Greatest Asian Test Captain !

This series has finally confirmed the fact that Virat Kohli is by far the GOAT asian Test captain, this team loses by an innings in the last match  then trails by 100 coming to the second innings and still ends up winning the test match, this fighting spirit is Kohli's legacy.

I am a big fan of the movie "Raging Bull" by Scorcese , this team reminds me of that movies. Imagine a boxing fight where the opponent is hitting punches, jabs and uppercuts , you are getting down with every knock you feel, your vision is failing and you hear boos from all corners of the stadium, fans have no hope in you and are cursing you left right and center, outta nowhere a nebula rises from the depth and you feel your strength is magically regaining,   suddenly you rise up block the next jab and then deliver one, just one hard punch to the gut , there's silence all around , the opponent is motionless and the next moment he falls flat on the ground. There's a different feeling when something of this sort happens, it's magical it's ethereal. That's what this team is all about .
This team will be remembered as the Raging Bull from India, with Kohli being the head in charge.

Kohli  without a doubt has contributed more to Indian test cricket than any other Indian cricketer, his major contributions:

1. Fast Bowling Culture - no one from 90s or noughties ever imagined  that we will have a bowling attack with 7 world class fast bowlers , this alone is enough to call him the GOAT Indian captain but hang on that’s where it starts.

2. Fortress India - two tests lost in 6 years -
WOW, that's unheard of.., even the great Australian team could'nt dominate at home like we do, another feather in the cap of the GOAT captain.

3.First test series win in aus- playing since 1940s we never won a single series in Aus, the Goat captain took over and rest is history.

4.Series Win/Draw in England-  since 2007 we did'nt win/draw a series in Eng and even in 2007 we won bcoz of one whole day being rained off.

5. Whitewashing Srl in Srl and Wi in Wi- windies beat eng in their home conditions and even with a two players missing they played a draw series against pakistan , guess what we whitewashed them easily.

We are touring SouthAfrica and I have little doubt that we are gonna win our first series there too, that will add more weight to Kohli's claim as the GOAT test captain.

Well his win ratio is fantastic, can't deny it

But quite similar to Ponting who had great heroes

His stubborn approach of retaining the same MO bunch hasn't really allowed this side to realise its true potential

Not inspiring enough confidence with the bat either

He needs to be bold with bat and get his team to do well in knockout matches. He was the greatest Indian captain before this series.

I don’t think this series adds anything to his legacy as a captain.

Kohli fans having a field day . They had  a long hard time defending their hero through his downfall so now it's their time to celebrate. Expect them to get carried away after this victory. The Social Media is already all about Kohli this , Kohli that and how every decision taken by him has been vindicated . You would think other players were just playing second fiddle to  Kohli who is being hailed as the prime architect of this victory .

How does winning a second series in sena, not add anything to legacy? He needs to win this series and upcoming SA series to justify the greatest indian/asian captain hype

It's a fact we won despite his inane team selection which consisted of backing Rahane & excluding Ashwin. Shardul also bitch slapped him this test as he was benched for Ishant last game

Well, it wouldnt be fair to take any credit away but he's just lucky to have really good fast bowlers which previous captains didnt have. Good fast bowlers win you test matches overseas as long as batting is decent.

He didnt have any part in grooming fast bowlers or building fast bowling culture. That came about because of better facilities and more interest among youth for fast bowling and more kids taking to sport because of better economic situation.

Can you imagine this bowling attack in a team with Sehwag, Dravid, Sachin, Laxman, Dhoni etc

If this Indian team does not beat beat up Anderson and other useless bowlers and very shaky England batting line up then it does not deserve any accolades.

This Indian team has to do well in knockout matches to increase his legacy.

By results, he probably is. In terms of astuteness, vision, leading from the front and selection, probably not.

“If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulder of giants.” I think this quote applies to Ponting and Kohli quite aptly.
