I loved when he said Pujara is so wrong in thinking 250 lead is enough on this pitch, so why don't they declare he said and prove it. You could notice the jealousy/sadness in his voice and he said it's flat pitch, India can't dismiss them fast. Anyway we carried on to make more runs and still got them out under 250 haha. Ghar ka kala.

You have to understand - England cricket scene has paid Holding handsomely for 4 decades.  Unconsciously, he's become a big 'homer' for them over the years.  And its understandable.

And yes, he's historically underrated India because of the weight of his personal memories of when India were weak in test cricket.  Never mind the fact that those memories are out of date, and this has been a very different team for years.

Noticed he has  a soft corner for pak

See people right /natural to have biases but not to this degree.

Look at his over acting,he wants to replace Morgan Freeman someday

That narrative of his seems Caribbean version of "bhatka hua Naujavan"

And i noticed coverage of this series is more balanced on the bbc than sky

Michael Vaughan likes to troll but is quick to compliment good passages of play by india.

Thats perfectly fine btw.

Holding right to support England over India as the former is his annadata. But some of his actions and statements are beyond the pale and hide imo a visceral hate for india. Just be a bit balanced....

He simply could have said i feel the deck is flat so I expect a draw.

Well it's so good to feed humble pies to these Haters, Holding is racist towards Indians and always looked down upon India, and cannot fathom the fact that Indian cricket has risen so much and left West Indies Cricket way Behind, India being a part of Big Three, in Holdings eyes, India is like kal ka Launda Mere Mohalle mein aake yaha ka DADA ban gaya.

yeah, I've seen that as well.

This is not an uncommon thing in the caribbean, where they have a bit of a edginess when it comes to India, but a softer corner for Pak.

It is what it is - Holding's noticeable anti-India slant doesn't bother me,  I still like the guy.  And it all makes it sweeter when India wins.  And wins again.

As we keep winning more, our tolerance for such folks will increase overall.  You guys just aren't there yet. :winky:

More than being a category A Uncle Tom (probably has a certificate on his wall) Holding is a bore and seems out of his depth as a wannabe commentator.

Much prefer listening to the likes of Bishop and Dujon who actually have insights into the game rather than a bitter old fart who can't hold back the tears when his overlords lose.

Doesn't make any sense. If anything he should be hating his white masters. So weird that man.

During the 3rd test of our 2018 Eng tour, shortly after Ajit Wadekar's death, when the Indian team was wearing black arm bands, Holding, with glee in his tone, mocked it saying they wore it for the drubbing in the previous Lord's test. Such a piece of **** he is.

piece of **** with saintly pretensions.

He must be hating them too without expressing it openly. With India, he has no compunctions whatsoever in letting his contempt known.

Totally! Even if you set aside his India bias, his commentary is nothing special. He is just a disgruntled bore with a terrible accent. Ian Bishop sounds crisp and clear, with good insights and positivity. Dujon is good too, and was very chill with the Indian team during his playing days. He requested and got Gavaskar 's record breaking bat as a gift. Holding is probably the only sore-loser from the 1983 batch.

Holding is biased, but no one expected India to do this. Atherton was gushing about Bumrah after the game, but even he ruled out a Indian win. Rob Key was effusive in praise for Bumrah saying this guy was something else.

How is Indians mocking taking a knee not the same as holding sucking up to white people and looking down at brown people, the same thing he is being mocked for?

Holding might be an uncle tom but we do have uncle toms of our own

Because taking the knee is mockable and Holding is entitled to his prejudices.
