I keep on saying this ... most cricket experts in the world underestimate the bowling speeds of Indian Fast bowlers. And this speed comes in handy on flat decks.

 

Most are very skiddy and really hurry the batsmen on most surfaces. 

 

A skiddy Indian fast bowler bowling 135 k to 145 k often hurries the batters like a 140 k to 150 k non-skiddy pacer.

 

They key for me is whether our pacers are bowling a significant % of balls in the 140 k to 145 k/ 147 k range. Most are very accurate anyway and when they are bowling quick, they are unplayable on any surface.

Holding is one SOB, who still has a problem praising Indian pacers, every other team's ex great players have  acknowleged greatness of Indian fast bowlers.

 Why he would do praise ? This pace unit is now getting compared as next only to the unit to which Holding belonged .

However that did not stop Roberts , Bishop  from praising this Indian unit . 

Fellow carries too much sourness against Indian Board and bit of small mindedness .

Honestly it is not comparable to that pace quartet. That WI pace attack is the greatest bowling attack . But it should not stop anyone from praising this very good Indian bowling attack.

??When Bumrah bold bairstow, holding was one of the commentator and he did not say a word. Surprising - I was hoping for an analysis as he himself is a fast bowler.

Always has something negative to say about India. When Pant got out and he was disappointed and was walking out slowly, Holding was mocking him for checking if it was a bump catch.

All other WI greats are so chill.....Sobers, Viv, Roberts, Bishop, Ambrose, Lara...even Lloyd appreciates the good he sees in Indian cricket.

I already said on day 4 that there is a world of difference in speeds of Indian Pacers and English 1D trundlers .

Indian Pacers would use the pitch and Conditions to their favour ,Indian bowlers don't need Cloudy, swinging conditions, we have an all round bowling attack that can pick wkts in any conditions

has the Steve bucknor syndrome though not sure why. Only other west indian i felt had it was the match referee cammie smith, the guy during the 2001 series with Australia.

How is Indians mocking taking a knee not the same as holding sucking up to white people and looking down at brown people, the same thing he is being mocked for?

 

Holding might be an uncle tom but we do have uncle toms of our own

You have to understand - England cricket scene has paid Holding handsomely for 4 decades.  Unconsciously, he's become a big 'homer' for them over the years.  And its understandable.  

 

And yes, he's historically underrated India because of the weight of his personal memories of when India were weak in test cricket.  Never mind the fact that those memories are out of date, and this has been a very different team for years.

Holding should speak up to what happened in Durban this year..  Only then I will take him seriously now.   All kind of racism should be talked about in equal measures.

 i mentioned next best to WI attack ..  and not equal to that attack.
