Blame the tens of millions of bakras who'd be glued to their mobiles/TVs to watch these useless series' and give a massive TRP. These sort of ads work perfectly on more than 2/3rds of the target audience.

But I definitely see a slow but gradual realization among even casual fans. If our choke brigade continues on it's merry ways in the coming years, these PayTM and Byjus series' will eventually go into the dustbin in terms of viewership. 

 

And that's where a 4-5 month long IPL will come into the picture. BCCI has it all planned out.
