That looked plumb in real time. Even Erasmus had a shocked reaction to the DRS.

Yes that just didn't look like missing the stumps. This was a cascading effect of earlier Mayank decision.

Worst part is leaving 35 runs in 6 overs after the DRS fiasco

This is my main beef with these "throwing toys out of pram" sort reactions.

It is very obvious when emotions get better of you, you will find it very difficult to work as per your capability.

The one where Pant claimed a bump catch?

Sorry my bad. Pant one was no ball and then this one before lunch.

this one. i saw it and it was out.

Why was it agreed that benefit of doubt be give to batsman “during lunch break” and why umpires even discussed it with Elgar.

I feel Dravid needed to oppose it officially. Since then all borderline decision have been in South African favour, also pant given out in first inning was clearly a bumped catch

even if the technology got it wrong with that lbw decision you can't react like that. i'm fine with him being annoyed, kicking the air etc but you can't accuse the opponent of cheating. no doubt the match referee will and should be having a word.

Did not we suspect it in the first test?

- Not showing noballs after dismissals especially Rabada's who bowled like 2 dozen noballs in each test

- Marginal calls like LBW & catches going in the favor of home team (Mayank's LBW & KLRs catch in 2nd test)

- Third umpire misplacing the selected ball before 4th innings of the first test match

it was a marginal call that could go either way.

What statement BCCI or Rahul could have made?

Clarified it. Pant and team were targeted throughout since then. Coach needed to point out Elgar was wrong and his actions may be looked as influencing umpires. Which it clearly has since then.

Verbals not backed by performance on the field makes the entire team look stupid. This behaviour would have been justified if they had 200-250 more runs to defend. That period where runs flowed could prove to be very costly. We had started to dry up the runs (20 runs in last 10 overs prior to the LBW shout), leaked 35 runs in 6 overs after that

Thakur and Ashwin lost it. Leaked lots of boundaries after that.Thakur beat Peterson with 2 Jaffas before that Elgar fiasco.

Pant was wrongly given out caught while i could see umpires giving soft signal of not out yesterday for some South african batsman as catch was taken close to ground. Fairness of umps is in question. It could be all down to Our Mr Politiccally good man Rahul Dravid. They know team India has got a man who is ready to bend all the time

that's common sledging. How did it influence umpires?

That wouldn’t have happened if matter was closed by a statement from Coach or captain or Bcci. Also  on field umps would have got a signal that Indians are equally unhappy with the drama

There were some dubious acts we could spot. But as a captain i wish he had not let down the guard for that period. Everyone was acting like that was the end.

Fair point

a statement would have stopped sledging on field?

Indians unhappy about being called out for a bump catch?

Statement on Elgar meeting umpire during lunch on day 2 would have sent signals.

1. India is with umpires

2. Elgar was influentcing umps judgement and umps need to be mindful that we are also watching the impact of that meet.

3. Indian players would have got something to give back to sledging like  calling them“cry bay” or similar but they needed something to give in return. Here it looked like Indian skipper and Pant cheated.

And so on.

Amazing how this has distracted everyone from yet another pathetic batting performance. Maybe that was the purpose

The two are separate issues.

Fk it. Enough of being shanti doot. These guys are rockstars and spoilt children and I am proud of them.

Having said that hope they have this kind of attitude against all teams and all situations.

If it was against Pakistan, captain Lolli would giggle and say “koi bat nahi mistakes happen “
