Majestic
Yes, not sure why they have picked Ruturaj and all of a sudden sabogated Shaw from ODIs. Didn't he played the ODI series vs Sri Lanka and did fine? Kishan is part of the team and so is SKY, then why not Shaw? With Rohit and Kohli in top 3, India need one of either Shaw or Kishan in the top 3. Then probably Pant at 4 and KL at 5. raki05 1 Link to comment
SK_IH
It's a travesty Shaw is not a regular in India's LOI formats. We are happy continuing with Dhawan instead Cricket_Hacker, Lord, jf1gp_1 and 1 other 4 Link to comment

ungboysj
Not only stats, you just have to watch him bat to know there is no single more complete and better batsman than him in India ,not even kohli Clarke and sarcastic 2 Link to comment
Sean Bradley
Shaw is extremely talented no doubt, but he needs to tighten his game outside off stump if he wish to succeed in SENA conditions. SRT100, Austin 3:!6 and raki05 1 2 Link to comment

Players find their own way and as long as they succeed more often than they fail, the topic of technique shouldn't be overplayed. Shaw has a quick eye and fast hands. On A tours, he has either dominated or been completely untroubled facing quicks who have terrorized senior Indian batsmen - Jamieson, Ollie robinson, Marco Jansen. Besides, it's beyond funny to beat up Shaw for an alleged flaw in technique even as we have Mayank opening for India. Shaw is a hawk who should not be caged in the name of technique and experience,no excuse now when this side is on brink of next transition cycle He's too good a player to be ignored, sides across the globe crave for a guy like him sarchasm and raki05 1 1 Link to comment
Majestic
Let's make it simple. Is he any better than Jason Roy? Link to comment
Clarke
Not going to Aus/NZ conditions, it was depressing how he used to get out against SL the moment a googly was bowled. Has he sorted that out ? Link to comment
Adamant
Definitely the most talented youngster in India after Yashasvi Jaiswal. sarcastic 1 Link to comment

Lone Wolf
I don't know why his game against spin seems little dodgy. He is still gun against pace I reckon. He definitely would have loved batting in SA. Link to comment
Adamant
We don't really need Shaw to emulate Viru, coz we want to win in SEN these days, wr have already conquered Australia and subcontinent and a player like Viru would hardly contribute much to wins in SEN. Shaw needs to learn how to tackle the moving ball, that's the need of the hour. He is more than capable of doing that, has played in England for half his career. Lord 1 Link to comment

I am a Shaw Advocate myself, Shaw can be utilised in Sehwag Mould, at times even Sehwag knew the art of letting the odd one go outside off stump. Shaw has a tendency to go after everything which has led to his downfall on many occasions. All I wish for Shaw to show some patience, if he stays for till lunch, India will more often than not be 120/1 on most occasions. Edited January 16, 2022 by Sean Bradley Link to comment
