He believes in floating it giving batsmen a chance, sometimes mixes it with wides. For such bowling, pitch doesn't matter. Batters with power keep waiting for such bowls while he still thinks it's tough for them to figure out.

Him and ashwin lack of variations as compared to other spinners is very concerning. Santner with actual variations is difficult bowler to hit. A bowler like zampa from Australia which is traditionally a fast bowler powerhouse is producing more quality spinners thans ours is pathetic. Our selectors are the biggest reason for this mess.

You cannot compare leggie with offie here. Not many offies are effective especially classical ones in T20. Mostly part timers are left. You either have to be a mystery bowler or wristy.  Ashwin should be a back up not main act. But leggies have no excuse to fail in Australia. This kinda makes me wonder why he never played even a single match. A Bishnoi or Kuldeep would have been a better bet
