A stress facture is a pretty serious injury for a fast bowler.

This is the second time happening.  Big worry is he may not be the old  Boom again

Chetan Sharma must be the most happy man today

He longed for this day, finally it has come to reality where he can play all his massage boys (trundlers)in a WC

Boobie's magic 19th over,oho ho oo

Harshal's routine 25+/over before that

Chahar's dibbly dobblies first up

Chahal's salvo towards the crowd

Knuckle ball wins !!! They can complete this by picking Thakur

This is a blessing in disguise. Its an opportunity to unleash Unadkat as his replacement and our bowling "attack" of Bhoovi, Harshal, Chahar & Unadkat (with support from Chahal) will be like the WI of 80s having Warnie/Murali to support them.

India must bat deep now....with Bumrah out, we have a very average bowling attack.

Best way is to go batting heavy since bowlers will going to be butchered anyway.

So our bowling attack in WT20 will be very similar to what we had in WC2015.

Bhai that attack was lot better, Shami picked 17 wkts in 7 matches and Umesh picked 18 in 8. They were bowling with pace and Mohit Sharma was doing decent job in middle overs.

Just that Australia was in 2003 WC wala form with Starc, Smith and Warner breathing fire.

This bowling attack now belong to era of 90's without Srinath.

Was never going to have a long career with that action.

2nd stress reaction/fracture in 3 years. He had already lost some pace after the 1st.

We need more bowlers with good mechanics. Cant afford to lose the few genuine quicks we have and we don't produce too many in the first place.

He wouldn’t have been a big loss had our selectors and captain not heavily relied on him despite his unsuccessful returns with new ball. His return have not been what we’ve been used to at his peak/best. We had no rotation whatsoever within our bowling arsenal and now just like before every WC we are scratching our heads on not having plan B.

That action was never going to be a long term thing...  I think Boom is more or less done.  Time to look beyond him.  Groom genuine quicks like Sen Tyagi Umran.

Siraj would be decent replacement right now for WT20

Knowing the intelligence of our selectors  they might replace Bumrah with Sanju Samson

Agree that we should always have a pool of pacers not just one to rely upon.

But Siraj's white ball outings have been pretty average. No ?

Kartik Tyagi, Shivam mavi are our best hopes. Kartik in particular . BCCI need to invest in these guys the most.

There are quite a few guys who can bowl 135 -140  with the odd 90 mph ball. These guys need to be very carefully looked after too.
