India-Pak pre-match discussion

I worry about this match.

Pak batting is slowly clicking into gear, the moving up the order of Shadab and/or Nawaz is working well and our bowling give me little hope.

Hopefully Shaheen is not 100% match fit, but we all know how we struggle against quality left arm pace. Then there is Rauf death bowling. We need to maximise versus the other bowlers, hope that our top order all have blinders ,

Ideally I think we bat first and score huge force their openers/batsmen in general out of the comfort zone

Shaheen, Naseem, Rauf, Hasnain:afraid:

Two of them(Naseem, Hasnain) are overrated AF. Shaheen is coming from an injury and even he leaks runs in his 2nd spell.

Only major worry among them is Rauf who is a great T20 bowler. Bowls well in all phases.

Wasim jr and shan masood played the best and they arent expected to be in the 11 for Pakistan, perhaps the reason for their extra intensity? Or they actually in the reckoning now, interesting to see.

This is lining up perfectly - all the usual suspects for India are doing well in warmups. The Peerless KL, Shami, Bhuvaneshwar. Come match day that counts ...... and we will see.

DK as well. The king of warmups. Played a cameo today too I think

I'd say BCCI should use its clout to force through a warm-up WC. At least our trophy count would keep going up.

Not too worried about this match. It is at the MCG.

Average 1st innings score in the BBL in the last 3 years is around 171 and average winning score should be in the 185-190 range I'm guessing.

Also the bat first bias is least at MCG which is only marginally bat first biased.  Only in the death overs in 2nd innings is slightly harder than in 1st innings.

The match vs Saffers is at Perth and that pitch has a strong bat first bias - more so than any other venue and the scoring rate is harder in all 3 phases of 2nd innings.

Winning toss and batting first is crucial against SA.

Kyon bhai? Tharakpan?

My point (which I thought was more obvious), is that game is likely to be rained out, or at least rain affected....
