Dil Dil India Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 1 hour ago, bones said: Many Indian friends of mine have a different feel about Pakistan fixtures now compared to let's say a decade ago. Whereas they were confident in a win in the past, it's more a nervous confidence now. It's probably to do with the fact this Pakistan side doesn't carry some of the scars that previous teams led by Wasim, Waqar, Inzamam etc etc had. In T20 maybe. The gulf in class isnt apparent over a 40 over shootout. Over an ODI series or a test series, India would be far more confident. Also it isn't just Pak not having scars, it is also down to India's own side being fairly mediocre in T20. Even now I feel India start as slight favourites even in T20 anywhere outside of UAE.
Lord Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Pakistan would be favourites if that happens We barely beat them in group game and now they have added Haris and Wasim. Plus Shaheen is back in form. We depend too much on SKY/VK in batting and Arshdeep in bowling

Shaheen back in rhythm is key They have good balance : 4 genuine pacers, 2 spinners plus part time off spin Someone like Haris can come in and just slog because he knows Shadab and Nawaz come in at 6 and 7, Waseem is handy at 8 But the worst and tuk tuk opening pair of all the teams .

Swag Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 I'm confident we can beat Pak if we face them in the finals. I'm more worried about Eng in semis. AuxiliA 1

Wasim good with Yorkers but was expensive against Bangladesh. Doubt shaheen is back in form it’s Bangladesh being chokers and couldnt dig Yorkers or place the ball. Edited November 6, 2022 by gattaca

Unknown players always do well v us nevada 1
Texan Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 It seems like a repeat of 1992 WC. Hosted in Aus, but Aussies don't make semis Pak gets in last minute via backdoor Pak plays NZ in semis If Eng beat us and Pak beat NZ, then Pak v/s Eng final. I hope it doesn't pan out the way the 92 WC did.
Texan Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 One more similarity: Rain plays a big role in denying SA.

Vickydev Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 I think it's on. Pakistan as ever will beat NZ but have a feeling we'll beat England as well.

If you loose to associate nation you have to blame yourself. Rabada and Ngidi was bowling crap and going at 10 Rpo. Maharaj was crap too. Nortje bowled most economy spell of World Cup and they still lost. Bavuma doesn’t even has the t20 game. But he is a captain. They had quota players who couldn’t perform. Jansen was in the bench.
maniac Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 England will annihilate us Pak will own Nzl Pak will own England. Thats how it works. nevada and Kipper 1 1
bowl_out Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 2007 T20 WC repeating? - India playing under a new T20I captain - India beats Pak in the league stage from an almost impossible stage. - Hosts crash out in league stage - SA choke from possibly topping the group to crashing out due to one piss poor batting performance - India vs Pakistan final kohli and Chakdephatte 1 1
