Not defending anything. He bowled utter trash today. When he bowls that 132 kph average pace and hits a good line and length,  he's still a tough bowler to negotiate.

But he's never been among even top 3 wicket takers on any ICC tourney. Arshdeep managed it in his first try (excluding qualifiers). Heck even much abused Jaddu did it in 2013 CT. 

 

Sure he gives economy on a good day. But thats enough for a support bowler, not strike one.

After WC 19 SF failure on a damp & full of moisture pitch...  Boobie had no business in a Indian shirt.

Umesh was our best pacer that WC, did well against Oz especially in that SF. Shami was injured IIRC, otherwise we could've restricted Oz to a more manageable total in that game but the umpiring was *ing horrendous, two 50/50 decisions against Finch(both times?) went against us.

He has no pace no skills to compensate,sooner or later batsmen line him up

Agree he does, agar beta nikamma-nalayak hoga (Bhuvi) gaali to maa-baap Ko hi padegi (Capt and Coach) :(

 

Picking Bhuvi was the first step made me lose interest in this team. As I said in some other thread I barely like the Indian team so tough to pick a 2nd team to cheer.
