PSB_Zone Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 In white ball cricket, I guess a wrist spinner is a must and it would be perfect if he can bat at no. 7 or no. 8 position. Most of the teams got one Shadab khan Rashid khan Hasaranga even Ish Sodhi And Adil Rashid are a handy Bat.
Popular Post AuxiliA Posted January 5, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 5, 2023 Player banta nahi banana padta hai.. Pollack Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 All the names you mentioned except Ish sodhi are good striker of the ball as well. Since these allrounders are going to bat down the order slogging is very essential. India have no such wrist spinners who are good striker of the ball. If your question is for a wrist spinner who has an acceptable batting technique then there are few options. PSB_Zone 1
Lone Wolf Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Isn't Riyan Parag a leggie as well. New JK kid bought by SRH Vivrant Sharma is also a leggie & a top order batter. Although how good are they remains to be seen. Parag isn't bowling much in IPl.. nevada, Vijy, raki05 and 1 other 4
Vickydev Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Tewatia is probably the best in the country. Parag mixes it up so not sure if he is a leggie even. Also Samad, though he is more of a part timer PSB_Zone 1
PSB_Zone Posted January 5, 2023 Author Posted January 5, 2023 Tewatia and parag are more of batting allrounder. I am more inclined towards bowling all rounders. Since wrist spinner will give 4 overs in a T20 and 10 over in oneday as he is your wicket taking option. Modern trend is to play with six bowlers. Since none of our batter bowl, It is essential to have our spinners bat a bit to hide the long tail. Long batting line up gives confidence to top order to play more attcking cricket. So it also benefits the team even if they don't get chance to bat.

Number Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Abhishek Sharma is a left arm leg spinner right? Though hasn't done exceptionally well at domestics for Punjab but Yuvraj rates him very highly.
sandeep Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Mahipal Lomror was a wrist spinner who could hit boundaries at u19 level, but has not kicked on yet.

Vijy Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 if we talk about: (1) wrist-spinner, (2) bowling AR, and (3) for T20s, then there is no one. for tests, kuldeep has a FC (minus tests) batting avg of >25. In T20s, parag and tewatia count, but are batting ARs not bowling ARs.
