What is this obsession with Chahal. He is NOT international class - Chahal never deserved to play for India.

This guy is a district quality bowler at best.  Have seen one and all just come and smash him at will. 

 

It is a shame that poor Kuldeep is bracketed along this side.... And almost always disfavored to accommodate a mediocre gully category bowler like Chahal. 

 

Team India must have a death wish to keep playing this guy.

He was somewhat OK in his initial days (2016-2019).  Since then, he has been absolutely trash.   Most annoying thing about him is neither his batting nor his fielding has improved over the years.  Has only one defined role and there also he sucks 9 out of 10 times.  I feel, among our spinners, Axar and/or Jaddu along with Kuldeep are a must in the WC.  Not this annoying midget.   (No point discussing about bishnoi.  Like it or not, he is not in contention for this WC)

The biggest freeloader ever to represent India. It is like playing with 10 players. He wasr rightly dropped from 2021 wt20 squad but somehow crawled his way back. Absolutely pathetic sportsperson, trash in his primary skill, absolute zero in other departments....

Chahal stays in the team only due to his PR with the senior team members and BCCI officials( they started Chahal TV lol). He sucks up to literally everyone, even foreigners and they too return the favour due to pity. 

 

I don't like him as a player but must say he has conned his way to make a great living (money & fame wise) despite his limitations.

He is non-threatening , does not not threaten outside or inside edge. With him in the team during batting Ind is already down to 10 batters and while fielding team is down to 10 fielders. With his kind of inability with bat and in the field you can only ask Murli or Warne level bowler- who are are treat all through their 10 overs.

 

 

 

Would rank him last among all the leggies going around in Intl cricket.

One of the most overrated cricketers of the last few years. He has done nothing for Indian cricket in the last 3-4 years and still keeps getting back into the team. Zero in fielding, zero in batting. In bowling, hit him for one six and you know at least one more is going to follow soon after. Only "weapon" he has when batsmen go after him is to float the ball outside off and now every player knows about this and hits him through the offside. Complete waste of a spot in the team. When we play him, we are effectively playing with 10 players and viewers like us have to bear the torture of watching him field like a school kid. The sight of Yuzless Chahal playing in Indian team gear looks nauseating.

He seems to exist in the team more for mascot and clown value than anything else. Maybe he is important for team spirit. There was an academy guy called Jesse lingard in Man utd who played until last year when he didn't deserve to be at the club for many many years, Chahal is similar. He will have 1 good game out of 5 or 6 which even any random domestic bowler can have if he gets those amount of chances for us and milks that for several months.

You were shocked? lol Moment Ashwin's name was announced i expected this from 2 guys. Bhajji and Yuvraj. Bhajji almost instantly hyperventilated on twitter. Yuvi is a touch late. Otherwise predictable.
