Chetan Sharma Sting Operation Live Updates: 'Hardik Pandya to replace Rohit Sharma as Captain'

ZEE NEWS did a big sting operation on the Chairman of the Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Chetan Sharma on Tuesday. Sharma disclosed previously hidden truths, including the use of fake fitness injections in Team India, the true reason for the disagreement between Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli, and who is responsible for dropping players from the team. These revelations, captured on Zee Media's spy camera, may have a profound impact on the BCCI and the International Cricket Council, and may leave fans feeling misled.

Sharma disclosed that players are using fake fitness injections and that the BCCI is deliberately overlooking the injected fitness of prominent players. This report sheds light on the board's disagreement with Team India's captain, Virat Kohli, and the reason behind the discord. It also discloses how influential players like Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya sway the Chief Selector and how prominent players use breaks to plan their removal from the team.

The Chairman's statement on Zee Media's spy camera has exposed the use of fake fitness injections in Team India and why the Chief Selector is unable to prevent it, despite being aware of its use. This is the most significant revelation in the history of cricket broadcasting, and the first time such truths have been disclosed by the BCCI.

Ego vs Ego in Virat vs Ganguly

"During a video conference, Sourav Ganguly commented, in a meeting where there were all people present, including all the selectors, presidents of the board, and myself. It is unclear whether or not Virat heard what Ganguly said, but either way, it is a personal matter between him and Ganguly. It is unclear why Virat brought up the topic during a press conference before going to South Africa as captain. The topic was not relevant to the team's discussion, and it is unclear why Virat chose to bring it up. The truth is that there was a conversation happening between six to nine people, during which Ganguly made a comment that conflicted with what Virat was saying. It appears that there was a dispute between the board and the player, but it is a personal matter that remains unresolved."

Who was lying? Virat Kohli or Sourav Ganguly

'The press conference ahead of the IND vs SA series where Virat Kohli revealed that he was told 1.30 hours before the declaration that he will be leaving the captaincy was unnecessary. He just wanted to get back at Sourav that's why he did it.'

Ganguly Removed Virat?

“Virat Kohli felt he lost the captaincy because of BCCI President. There were 9 people in the selection committee video conference, Ganguly may have told him ‘think about it once’. I think Kohli didn’t hear it, there were 9 others there including myself and all other selectors, BCCI officials – Kohli might not have heard him."

Ganguly did not like Kohli

"Ganguly did not favour Rohit but he never liked Virat. You can put it in this way."

Looks like most of our speculation around about the time when Kohli stepped down from T20 captaincy around the disastrous 2021 WT20 was spot on.

Virat vs Rohit

"There is no battle between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma but there is ego. Both are like big film stars you can say, Amitabh Bachan and Dharmendra."

Some allegations on doping too which could be serious if true.

Not as controversial as media may want to make it appear. Pretty straight forward:

  • Kohli acted like a sore loser after losing ODI captaincy
  • Players under extreme pressure to keep playing every game due to competition. Ready to play even at 80% fitness for e.g. Bumrah
  • Ishan Kishan as WK batsman could close the door on Pant & Samson in LOIs if KL is chosen to keep as well
  • Dhawan not in favor of selectors
  • "Rest" a way to phase out seniors
  • ...

There is too much pressure on those associated with cricket ... Maybe a time to step back and enjoy cricket

No point in also trying to bill cricket as a "religion"

Its power politics between beurocrats and players, how are fans at fault?

Don't you get tired preaching on how fans should behave, in every single thread, every day? It feels like you enjoy being a snob more than following the game, maybe you should try enjoying the game more

Why is the picture/vid quality in all these purported sting operations so grainy and generally hazy?

Zee media/group is a fairly big conglomerate. Surely they can afford a decent sting worthy camera.

Quality of  small hidden camera packed in pen or something else.
