Nearly 50 pages hv been discussions related to Ind-Aus final match.

Everybody knows after taking the grand prize home, Indian fans were sulking sullenly. Still are.

So BCCI + Aus says :  "Here kiddie kiddie take this ravalgaon candy... ok take this Eclair.... smile now. There is a good child."

Though this a B grade AUS bowling attack , the best i liked about youngsters is the way they hammered AUS spinners including Zamps.  The Old team would have taken 6-7 RPO against those part time spinners like Maxi, Short  and trundlers like Stoinis & Abbot  just the way Ruturaj  did today.

Now need to get a few decent bowling options .

My biggest take away from this is India cannot afford to go with out a couple of left handers

They should hv tried Harshit Rana in place of Arshdeep/Mukesh.   IMO

T20 requires a different skillsets apart from pace & bounce . Harshit at the moment should not be thrown to T20 internationals . We most probably see what we are seeing with Prasidh. That would be wrong format for a rookie like Harshit.

The 3 lefties we have Jaiswal, Tilak , Rinku are not only lefties but also the best 3 youngsters and will form core of India T20 team in future .

Compared to Ishaan these guys have the reach to even hit the offside wide balls , which Ishaan & even Pant find little difficult to hit .

Ironically the famous gabba test was won by two lefties.   Pant and Sundar. Sundar in both innings. Pant with that match winning contribution

@express bowling @Suhaan Your inputs on Harshit Rana?

Highly impressed !  But is more suited to 5 day and 50 over cricket at the moment.

Harshit Rana is tall, quick, bouncy, sufficiently accurate and has a good FC record, albeit in just a few games.

Really liked his stamina in Ranji Trophy where he bowled with intensity and effort even when bowling 15+ overs a day.

Plus he can bat and tonk a few. Has a FCC century.

Post match. Few things I noticed:

1. Ruturaj is not meant for t20s but for odi s. He has the temperment but not the power game. Groom him for odi s

2. Rinku s head is as still as a statue when he hits it. Thats an amazing quality. Pants head often falls off when he smashes the ball and same does Ishan Kishan ( happened few times today). But when rinku hits his head remains still and hence the whole body power goes into the shot. The advantage of this is even slower ball goes for a six and doesnt balloon up.Also he hits proper shots straight down the ground..

3. Persist with Bishnoi as our second legspinner. End Chahals buffoonery. He should bowl more closer to the stumps so that he can bring his leg spin into play.
4. India should always try to bat first irrespective of the toss to get better at it. Dew makes batting second easy.We fail at ko hurdle for both t20 sf and ofi final batting first.. we need to kill the game and do it consistently in these bilaterals.

5. Sky it seems more acumen in captaincy than pandya with the way he got in the bowling changes. Pandya lost to a bad windies side 3-2 in t20 series 4 months ago..he was clueless when going became tough..

6. Arshdeep needs to trust his yorkers more. He suddenly starts going length and slower which are hit me balls when he can easily bowl 5 yorkers. He might get hit for 2 4s but he ll get 2 dots as well. By bowling crap length and slower he gets thumped for sixes..

7. Prasidh in t20s. Please end this experiment. Get him test match ready..

Harshit is exciting

Gets good bounce has pace, movement

Ball seams in most of the times after pitching from fourth, four and half stump line

Powerful loadup

Reminds me of Ishant with that, could be handy(gun) in tests and Odis too

Need to develop a decent outswinger too for SENA tours with the bounce he carries

But we won't get anything if he's kept 'evolving ' in list A or 3-4 days domestics

Need to introduce him from this year itself

Not a mug with the bat+ can hit hard

And lastly, pitches need to improve for further improvement in these bowlers

Farce pitches help none,it bites our arses more than opposition,we have seen it a week before

Improve pitches, atleast winters are here spice up pitches with bounce and good for strokeplay as well

There's also Sai Sudarshan. Hope he gets some chances soon

from having no left handers it looks like we can put up a team made exclusively of lefties. This will be of immense advantage.

should do a mix up tbh.

too many lefties and then can get stuck against offspin.
