Just to add to your point.

As long as Pakistan will be ruled by "establishment" there can never be peace between India & Pak.

Pakistan is milked by there gernails by showing them the fear of "Hindus" from across the border. This is a leverage they have over the common people and politicians. Thats the reason why no PM in pakistan has ever completed his tenure.

If hypothetically there is peace between India & Pak, the Pak army and gernails will have no reason left to eat up a chunk of Pakistan govt. revenue.

Spot on. The army have become so powerful there , democracy has no chance. If there was a democractic setup , there could be hope maybe some PM in future  might be wanting peace in the region.

Pak Army on other hand  does not want peace in the region for justifying their existence and budgets.

Pak army's motto is Imaan, Taqwa, Jihad-fi-Sabilillah. Why does anyone think they will behave like the armed forces of any other country knowing this? The fault is with people who do not try to inform themselves and prefer to live in ignorance. Wo bane hi is kaam ke liye the.

Many have been pointing this out for more than a decade.

Good thing is after years and years of trying to 'convince' greenbros, thanks to Imran and his Captain PTI-Civil war, the greenbros have finally accepted it.  Problem is they are too powerless to change it.  The day they break the shackles of ghulaami to army, we can start thinking of turning the page on Ind-Pak relations. Until then "cold peace" with more sticks and carrots - "this is the way".  Now 'good' civvies like @First class won't like this approach and will squeal and moan about it - and thats not unreasonable from their perspective - but it is what it is, unfortunately.

Yes, but those Punjabis do not utter Punjabi at all. I am not sure whether to call to call filmy Malhotras and Singhanias as Punjabi characters. They are typical Bollywood characters with some Punjabi lines with no accent.

Why would Punjabis speak in Punjabi (not even going into specifics like accent, beyond the scope of Indian cinema) in a Hindi film industry? Bollywood is based in Mumbai, yet never hear any Marathi either. At least Punjabis have prominent roles in famous movies, presented as main characters.

I thought English and Aussie fans only cared about Ashes :dontknow:

And didn't even know they have cricket fan forums. Do let me know about the English cricket forum to see the meltdown. They can't even win a group match and crying about India's "advantage" :hysterical:

Dr saab lets be honest, diaspora is different. and "back home" is different.  I get it, its harsh to read nasty comments about your country and people all the time.

And yes, there's an agenda behind Indian cricket team not playing in Pak, but nobody can objectively claim that Pakistan has 'cleared its accounts' when it comes to terrorism that murders innocents in India.  Why shouldn't the Indian government use the leverage it has, including its cricket team, to seek better outcomes on that "political agenda"?  Its not unfair.

You should be blaming the corrupt regime as you rightfully point out, not the Indian government.

What terrorist activity sponsored by Pakistan in recent years you're talking about and what about the Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Boluchitan ? If there was any incident which happened and was allegedly  sponsored by Pakistan was many years ago, but again terrorist activists in Boluchistan is going on more frequently and Pakistan blames India for that . Is India not sponsoring Taliban ? and are Taliban not involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan ? So where the line will be drawn .

The problem is being a weak country , no one listen to Pakistan, and India being a stronger country,  it can get away with all kind of sponsoring terror in neighboring country. Similarly Israel killed 50 K plus  civilians in Gaza in 21st century with the help of USA and no one could do anything . Yes, might is right and always will be.

You guys still deny 26/11 attacks. After 2008 26/11 attacks, and SL team facing terrorist attack in 2009 on Pak  soil , how can you be still in denial about ISI /state  connections to terrorism? Indian cricket team with such high visibility to terrorist organizations in Pak cannot ever visit Pakistan after that direct attack on SL cricket players! Marwani hain kya, bc!

Payback. It clear-cut starts after your decades of terrorism in Kashmir and India. You reap what you sow, pakistani.

might is always right when responding to the aggressor. You are aggressor in terrorism by clear cut 30 year lead in sponsoring terrorism. Cope. Hindus will slap back 10 times hard each times muslim nation pokes. That is new reality. Clear ??

Also don't forget that imran came to power with army support himself,

They did the exact thing to put him to power as they did to remove him. Press criticism against him was banned, social media was influenced, opposition were jailed, polla were rigged . Without army he would never have won first time.

He just went against them and US and was removed.

Establishment ( army ) is ruling Pakistan , directly or indirectly for 70 years, so whats new now. Indian team has been visiting Pakistan regularly in the past but ever since BJP came into power and  playing this anti-Pakistan nationalist political card, no direct cricket contacts between two countries. That's a reality . I'm Ok with what's wrong with Pakistan , but you guys are being too " patriotic "/

That's another anti-Imran  propaganda spread by Pakistan army and its dogs that Imran was brought into power by the army and people like you would accept it because you want to. During 2018 elections Imran Khan was at the peak of his popularity and if army would have not played its dirty role, IK would have won by 2/3 majority . But a powerful government doesn't suites army and hence they rigged the elections and decreased IK's victory to a slim one . If IK was not so popular why would his party had won the 2024 elections again  when he and almost all of his 1st and 2nd tier leaders were in jail . Party was not allowed to take part in election with its name and symbol and above all elections result were changed over night to give may seats to IK's opposition parties.

What kind of logic is that ?

It's like saying that husband has been beating her wife for decades, so why she is now asking for a divorce ?

Pakistan has been doing wrong to India for decades, India tried to normalize relations and in turn got wars in 1948, 1975, 1971, 1999...plus the attacks on Kashmiri Hindus, Pulwama, Uri attacks, Mumbai 2008 incident, Parliament attack, Kandahar plane hijack.

There is a limit to everything, now India understood that a stable Pakistan isnt in our favour. Congress leadership is weak (Rahul Gandhi is similar to Bilawal Bhutto) and BJP has strong governance, pro India policies which people like.

Pakistan, if they really want to normalize the relation first have to "prove" their intent for decades. Trust, once broken can't be repaired in an instant. It takes time and sustainable efforts.

But, the harsh truth is, Pakistan by nature doesn't want to change, they are happy being ruled by establishment and don't have the will or desire to improve relations with India.

You must be living in India , I have observed Indians living abroad are not  narrowminded in their overall thinking , compared to many ( not all ) living in India who are exposed to same old propaganda day in and day out.

The goras are whining as if Dubai pitch is a better when our batsmen are batting and a minefield when our spinners operate! It's a difficult pitch requiring a good amount of hard work to earn every single win. Didn't we lose terribly in SL where all the pitches were similar? Similar pitch does not equate to comfort zone! The fork tongued Cummins and other chewts should be solidly booed in the IPL to the point of running away to their home in tears. Maderbhagat skipped CT on the pretext of injury but is already practicing bowling in Sydney, to be ready for the IPL!

Can't comment on everyone.

But I have had lived in Malaysia for few years and had interacted with Pakistani colleagues.

Those who were non-Punjabi Pakistani, agreed that Pakistan missed several opportunities to improve the ties with India. They even mentioned about the biases that Pakjabi's do with their region, on things like water distribution.

Ofcourse, interacting with Pakistani Punjabis was different. They talk as if they "own" Pakistan and their head is on the 7th cloud.
