So what better way to entice him than a farewell series in India vs WI, where he can sign off potentially on the winning note .... And making him aware of the prospect of him being turned in to a/the scapegoat if Ind fails to do well in WC19 .... Yuv lost many fans after that inning vs SL in T20 WC final I can only see him retiring if Kohli retires from captaincy. Asia cup under Rohit may be a step towards that UrmiSinhaRay and Brettcat 1 1 Link to comment

UrmiSinhaRay
Pr of Dhoni is very strong compared to Yuvi. They more focus on targeting your emotional weaknesses and make people sadSent from my CPH1609 using Tapatalk Link to comment
UrmiSinhaRay
He is already 40+. shouldn't have been in the 2019 WC squad but did it change anything? He will play the 2020 WT20,mark my words.(if it is left to him)He won't retire soon TBF. He might even play the 2021 one and then retire at 45Sent from my CPH1609 using Tapatalk Link to comment

bowl_out
It's at least a year late, if not more.. Should have happened at least after CT Final. Pant / DK still can't do worse than Dhoni.. So, I'd still take a retirement after the WI tour UrmiSinhaRay and raki05 1 1 Link to comment

It is but because he is a “legend”, fans want to give him an opportunity to go on his terms first .... as we know if he is “dropped”, it is likely curtains for him as far as int cricket is concerned Edited September 12, 2018 by zen UrmiSinhaRay and The Dark Horse 1 1 Link to comment
coffee_rules
All: Dhoni is useless in ODIs, people expect more from his role Dhoni Fans: Well, He comes at #5 or #6, we should fix the batsman above him. He's doing his role while keeping wickets and also getting spinner's wickets. All: Pandya is useless in Tests, people expect more from him Pandya Fans: Well.. You catch my drift Adi BB, raki05, Laaloo and 5 others 1 7 Link to comment

diga
Our selectors dont have balls to select a promising youngster... They select Karthik/Parthiv to prop up Dhoni Laaloo, nevada, Switchblade and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment
Khota
Growing up some of us have seen nothing but poverty upclose. It is hard for us to let go. Dhoni now has enough money and has to make a personal decision what he thinks is right for him. He is not helping his image by lingering on. Switchblade and Suhaan 3 Link to comment

Sgattick10
Selectors should talk to him ... let him know they are looking forward and would want a young player going ahead in WC. Tell him WI series would be your last ...go out with a bang. Link to comment
Clarke
Kuch nahi hona .. He'll stick around until he sees financial sense in it and unless there is significant pressure on him from leadership & selectors which he cannot push back via his clout. nevada 1 Link to comment
Stan AF
Stop with your delusions people. He's not going anywhere. He should have been stripped off the captaincy after the WC loss and dropped a year later to groom young wicket keepers. Our selectors and idiotic "15 years best team" captain/coach are spineless to do the right thing and push this deadweight out. If lords booing wasn't enough i don't know what will make him leave out on his own. raki05 and Switchblade 2 Link to comment
