How does VC Rahane manage to evade scrutiny?

- Soft runs specialist, maybe couple of impactful knocks in the last 4 years

- Lacks consistency

- Terrible at home, worst ever Indian batsman against spin

- So called SENA specialist has done nothing there in last cycle

- His clowning only makes conditions look tougher than they are, other batsmen psychologically affected

- Can't get big 100s

- Timid body language, lacks guts

- Declining slip catching skills

- Plethora of batting talent waiting on the sidelines

 

Even on ICF his place is hardly questioned. Some powerful lobby at work? Why wasn't he dropped in 2018? Why has Karun Nair been treated so badly?

 

PS- To make matters worse he has even been given a consistent run in shorter formats incl multiple ICC tourneys. Till last year he was ahead of KL and Iyer in the pecking order for our ODI team. What a farce !!!!

Waise what a ghatiya innings today, an insult to the rich Indian batting legacy. Not the runs but the way he was batting, even Pakistanis have higher standards. We are stuck with this loser as our VC. Not useful in any condition, *ing motormouth. 

 

Most useless cricketer in our current squad. Some are rookies, some are HTBs, this guy is consistently useless everywhere.

On current batting form, probably Jadeja >= Rahane .... would have been better off going with 5 bowlers in this must win game esp. w/ batting struggling .... adding another struggling batsman to the mix will not make a struggling batting line up stronger

There was hue and cry because Rohit played ahead of him, at that time (maybe even now) Rohit was a bigger joke in those conditions.
