Dear selectors, There is no need to remove MSD, how about playing Rishabh pant as a hitter in the side even while keeping MSD ?

And there is a reason why our ODI batting line up has shrunk from 2011 to become wafer thin. Any of our top 3 has a bad world cup and we are toast. philcric Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 What a travesty. In that T20 squad ... There's no way Manish Pandey is better than Rishabh Pant either in ability or on current form. In fact Manish was never a good T20 batsman, not even in top 10 in India. On current form, Pant is arguably even better than Virat, Dhawan, Rohit and Raina from that squad. Of course pedigree and previous performances matter and Virat, Rohit and Raina have that. T20 XI on current form should be .. Rahul Pant * Kohli Raina Karthik + Dhoni Pandya Bhuvi Kuldeep Bumrah Chahal Raina just pips Dhawan, for 6th bowling option and left handed middle order bat. Even though Dhawan has been good at international T20s recently, generally Raina is a much better T20 batter than Dhawan, they are not even is the same ballpark. Even in this IPL, an in-form Dhawan and an underwhelming Raina have similar stats. Mid 30's average and mid 130's SR. Also, Pant gets an opportunity to open the batting this way. Rahul and Pant opening the batting will be awesome. Rohit and Dhawan can be part of the squad as back up batsmen. This is probably as good a T20 team as we ever had, considering both batting and bowling. UrmiSinhaRay, beetle and Mosher 1 2
