Door permanently shut on the faces of Pappu and Karthik. Coming to ODIs/T20s it has become impossible now to justify Dadu's continuous selection. Must be given marching orders but we have a napunsak naukar as our Chief Selector. Selection committee role is as important as Captain/Coach especially in a country like India with such a huge pool of players. Pehle MSK ko laath maar ke bahar nikalo aur kisi aukaat waleh ko lao. dhoni is not just the keeper he is the finisher , batsmen , acting captain etc etc flamy 1

Will see later how he keeps against ash I think he did well in that regard. Pope's catch was an example.
putrevus Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 His legside collection is weird, he is trying to use his both hands instead of diving and using his left hand. Gollum 1

rtmohanlal Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 seems to have great reflexes and anticipation for a kepeer..... 5 catches, of which 2 or 3 were brilliant. This lad seems to be the answer in post Dhoni era asterix and Vilander 1 1
Austin 3:!6 Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Now just play Prithvi Shaw in the next test dropping that gargabe RahulSent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk asterix 1
wanted_desi Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 He is going to be in the team for long time. Hope they select him for ODIs as well. beetle and asterix 1 1
Hydra Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 India have found a very good keeper you have to play him consistently so he gains experience quickly. beetle and G_B_ 1 1
beetle Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 (edited) I am glad he did better as a wicket keeper than a batsman on debut. That will put less pressure on him in the coming matches. If we can debut a pure batsman ( prithvi or mayank )and a bowler ( siraj)in the last two test.....then no matter the result of the series, I will consider this a successful fruitful series. Cricketics Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Took him some time to adjust to swing and seem but then his footwork kept getting better and he was moving well. This is what helps when you keep to the top bowlers in the world in the swinging conditions, you learn and keep getting better. He just kept getting better over after the over, and as he started taking catches, he just started feeling more comfortable and felt he belonged here. He started chatting more to the slip fielders, cheering up bowlers etc which showed how confident he was then. Spending time behind the stumps helps greatly. Pant is just going to get better with each innings. beetle, Laaloo, GolGappe and 1 other 4

Certain minor things which he can improve...his trigger movement is always towards left....because of this he missed a tough chance of ROOT...

Kerberos Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Pant comes across confident but not over confident unlike Pandya. Confidence plus great hand eye coordination plus brute force.Pant will learn fast unlike Pandya who is taking his own sweet time. beetle 1
Lannister Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Yeah we don't have any readymade players, says captain crook and his sheeps. Kick that mediocrity out from LOIs too and shave his head off. ThePhenomenal1, Mosher, raki05 and 1 other 4

Sachinism Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Brilliant start to his career. Definitely earned the spot for the rest of the series. KKD got his chance and didn't grab it. He did have to bat in more difficult conditions, but he looked totally out of place express bowling and asterix 1 1
