rtmohanlal Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 (edited) can decide it once the series is over.as of now batting still is a big big problem.Shami is proving to be mediocre in ENG. Don't know Siraj can be played in this series .If possible he should replace Shami. And Jadeja replacing another far less productive batsman too seems to be a good option at this stage. It is all about conditions. i wont blame Indian team for that loss. All odds were against them in that test, up against extreme conditions while batting in both innings. When England came on to bat, they got best batting conditions. Also playing extra spinner was suicidal. That game could have been more interesting had we played 3rd proper seamer. We might have seen the Woakes and Bnairstaw partnership then. Also, these two teams are equally flawed and well matched on paper. It is not like this Indian team is a great team. IMO, this series has been a lot about luck till now. Edited August 22, 2018 by rkt.india
Lannister Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 We lacked decent bowlers in first two tests. Bumrah came along and with Pandya's resurgence, we are looking completely different. It's all about making the best use of the conditions and we failed to restrict the opposition on this bowler-friendly wickets during first two tests. I think there's still room for improvement as we can replace a better seamer for out-of-form Shami.
