ShoonyaSifar
List of other winners of ICC Emerging players over the years 2004 - Irfan Pathan 2005 - Kevin Pietersen 2006 - Ian Bell 2007 - Shaun Tait 2008 - Ajantha Mendis 2009 - Peter Siddle 2010 - Steve Finn 2011 - Devendra Bishoo 2012 - Sunil Narine 2013 - Pujara 2014 - Gary Ballance 2015 - Josh Hazlewood 2016 - Mustafizur Rahman 2017 - Hasan Ali  Other than KP, Bell, Pujara and Hazlewood, none have gone onto to have a decent Test career. I hope Pant can reverse the trend. Has had a great start to the year.  Link to comment

I hope Pant can reverse the trend. Has had a great start to the year.  Several of them were given based on ODIs, not tests likes of Narine, rahman, Hasan, Tait, etc. Peter Siddle also had a decent career with 64 tests and 214 test wickets. Adi BB
It's so clear that there is not a single batsmen close to kohli, he's class apart from the rest but there will be a downfall this year or maybe the next year due to over exertion ,especially IPL velu 1 Link to comment
Jimmypage
He is achieved this when India was playing abroad mostly accept couple of Windies tests at home. This takes this achievement to even greater heights  If only he had some support in SA & Eng we could have got better results. Cricketics and flamy 2 Link to comment
putrevus
Congrats Kohli.Trifecta would have been more sweeter if India had won either in SA or England. Edited January 22, 2019 by putrevus Link to comment
Gollum
Well deserved . The big one is "Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy", last 3 of them (2016-18) have been won by Indians. Only other time that has happened was when Clarke, Johnson, Smith won it 3 consecutive times. Link to comment
