Bears (Ind) vs Bulldogs (Eng) Pre-Match Discussion Thread (WC19)

Scheduled on June 30th at Edgbaston. The pitch is likely to be a fresh one

The Bears are on 11 points so in a relatively safe zone and 1 win/NR away from officially confirming their SF spot. However, they may prefer to play at Old Trafford as Edgbaston can be tricky, therefore would be targeting the #1 spot.

Bowling and catching have been terrific so far:

While the batting needs to improve:

On the other hand, the Bulldogs would need to turn its fortune around. Currently,

Bulldogs will have to think of rest of the games as knockouts where:

  • vs Ind = Pre QF
  • vs NZ = QF
  • SF
  • F

For Eng, Roy is expected to come back. Plunkett can be useful too. Who should be rested/replaced? ....  Should India draft Pant in and also play with a 5th specialist bowler ....  What strategies and tactics both teams should employ? Discuss!
