Popular Post rkt.india Posted June 28, 2019 Popular Post Posted June 28, 2019 (edited) There was a time when i thought he was heading Munaf Patel way with his laid back attitude and poor fitness but the man has come back well form his professional and personal set backs that is through sheer hard work by improving his fitness. Shami is the perfect example of how good fitness can do miracles. Here is the International stats of Shami. Tests, 144 wickets 40 tests, averaging under 29.54, 3.6 wickets per test, respectable SR of 52. ODIs, 121 wickets 65 ODIs, average 24.85, SR is incredible at 27.5. I dont think any other bowler with more than 100 wickets except Starc at 25.2 has a better SR in ODIs. Popular Post Suhaan Posted June 28, 2019 Popular Post Posted June 28, 2019 Shami reminds me of Ryan Harris, extremely dangerous,a quality pacer ,can decimate opposition in a spell Don't know how have I drawn similarity between the two but Shami reminds me of that Aussie pacer Gambit, maniac, DHONI_FANN and 10 others 1 12
Adi BB Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Shami is a match changer, he is an out and out wkt taker and his strike rate says that be any format . he has to play all the wc matches till the end velu, DHONI_FANN, Real McCoy and 4 others 7
DHONI_FANN Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 One thing I like about Shami is that he always bowls to take wkts and not just to contain runs. nevada, flamy, Suhaan and 5 others 8
Mosher Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Shami was always skillful but now with his better fitness he doesn't get tired easily and can maintain his pace throughout the test match. He is much more accurate too these days. Adi BB, Suhaan, express bowling and 5 others 1 7
cric_fan Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Very, very fine bowler. Rightarmfast, Under_Score, Real McCoy and 4 others 7

That was an amazing delivery which left the batsman shell shocked. When a bowler is sending down deadly balls like that, batsmen become very tentative. vishalvirsingh 1

Nah shami mostly is similar to Ryan harris because of wrist & seam position which is almost upright every time and that helps you even on flattest decks. Suhaan and Rasgulla 1 1

If Bhuvi is fully recovered we can bring him in for Shankar. Kedar, Dhoni and Hardik can play at 4,5,6 respectively followed by Bhuvi at 7. 6 good batters(at-least on paper) should be good enough to win a game.

To balance things out, we actually need one more fast bowling alrounder like Pandya, even if he worse in batting than Pandya but better with the ball or even a spin bowling alrounder in the same vain. Need to develop Darshan Nalkande quickly. Edited June 28, 2019 by rkt.india
vivek04 Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Shami improved a lot from the past where he gave freebies occasionally. His runup is smooth which generates extra pace. he is a rythm bowler and when on song destructs opposition. vishalvirsingh 1

First class Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Amazing bowler, even with lack of height. Otherwise, close to perfect run up, rhythm and delivery action . Has pace, accuracy, brain and confidence. vishalvirsingh 1
Nash Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 In land of dinda and prasad, he is the real GOD of bowling along side with Bumrah. His Test average is 29 with strike rate 52 which is above average. Anything below 30 in test and strike rate close to 50 is good. He can improve massively in Test aren. In ODI, 24 ave is top of the line. Only freaks like murli would have 22 average.
Bhaiyya Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 But But But...India can never produce a pacer let alone a fast bowling legend.
Real McCoy Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 At the moment, I think he is bowling better than Bumrah. What is great about him is apart from pace, he also bowls aggressive lines and length. Not afraid to pitch it up and allow seam movement off of the surface. Hope he keeps his performance up Mosher and express bowling 2
