Tbh, it seems obvious that something was fishy. Virat misfielding and not throwing himself to save a boundary when every run matters. The team collectively deciding not to hit 6666s..not even *ing Rohit...and to top it off Pandya slowed down when dhoni was at crease..dhoni and jadhav not bothering at all until last over..clearly shows that this was planned. Icc/ecb needs England to be in the semis after so much hype before WC about being the best batting unit.

I still remember NZ purposefully lost to pakistan to oust india out of 1992 world cup......NZ believed, it's easier to play Pak as compared to india in Semis .......

 

May be, Indian team thinks better to face bangladesh or england in semis rather than pakistan and did what is required. Infact, it is a compliment to pakistan; if there is conspiracy in loosing

No. India was already out by then, they tanked so that they could play their SF in NZ and not Aus.

No.

 

NZ topped the league. Eng and SA were 2nd and 3rd. NZ was set to play the 4th spot team in the SF.

 

Pak and Aus were in running for the 4th spot.

 

If Aus made it, NZ had to play Aus in the SF in Aus (Aus being the main home team for that WC).

 

If Pak made it, NZ get to play Pak in the SF in NZ.

 

So, NZ allegedly lost to Pak deliberately so that they could play their SF in their home conditions.

Stop generalising man. It’s not just Pakistanis who are pedling conspiracy theories. Look on twitter, many Eng fans are also asking the same questions. Your own Ganguly questioned the tactics on live tv.

There's no conspiracy. It's just that Dhoni is bad. As we've been saying on ICF for years now

I don't understand why are Pakistan cribbing. Its not as if icc said dear Pakistani we will give you only 6 games to qualify for semis. Like India they also got 9 games rather than questioning our integrity why not question your players who were thrashed by us.
