nevada Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 (edited) While he has a valid argument, I think he shouldn't have stepped into this kind of debate. IPL owners should stay out of India selection matters. Now brat will put some glue on the bench to make Pant a permanent bencher. In an unusual development, Parth Jindal, the director of JSW Sports and co-owner of Delhi Captials, has questioned the exclusion his franchise players - Rishabh Pant and R Ashwin - from India's limited-over teams. Describing both of them as "X-factor" players in a series of two tweets, Jindal said not playing Pant in the limited-overs leg of the New Zealand series "made no sense" while he failed to understand the "aversion" to a "wicket-taker" like Ashwin. vvvslaxman Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 On the subject he gives a snapshot of how these IPL owners play a role in promoting their useless garbage players. Not saying Ashwin is garbage. Sure it happens with Jadhav, Jaddu, Thakur. Dhoni. Chahar is so far okay. But guys like Gony played for india because of this backing. ganeshran Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 While I have a lot of issues with Bewda and Kohli's selection strategy, ipl owners should stay away from selection debate. They have a vested interest in their squads brand value and aren't exactly neutral observers here. Bambani family has enough political pull to get their entire team selected to the international side. Khota, Sandeep99, Gollum and 5 others 1 2 5

zen Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 If he is giving his opinion as a cricket fan that is fine with me. I am not sure if he made these comments as the owner of DC. To ask questions as the owner of DC, he should play it diplomatically by including players from other franchises as well express bowling, raki05, diehardpacer and 2 others 5

Good post Yes they should keep their noses out of this None of their business,BCCI should serve a notice to him to give a message Cricwala and express bowling 1 1
bowl_out Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 He's just tweeted his opinion.. it will be treated with just as much importance given any other regular tweet by you and I, and will have no impact on selections. raki05 1
Vickydev Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 Bengaluru fc under him have taken over Indian football for good, hope he does a Srinivasan like takeover of Indian cricket as well. Shaw, Pant, Axar to replace the CSK brigade of Jaddu, Jadhav , Shardul. Laaloo, nevada, sandsaims and 1 other 4
Khota Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 Team selection is not his decision. He needs to stay out.

Gollum Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 (edited) What used to happen behind closed doors and via emails, phone calls, WA group chats now out in the open because of the carelessness of this guy. Thank him for his services, if our media had a spine there would be serious questions asked and calls for transparency. But yahaan pe toh sab changa hai, move along folks. We are still living in the 2000 space mentality mindset and the reason why we cannot win a single tournament. When I see how england etc support guys like Roy and Guptill and see the phattu mentality of management and fans where Iyers run a ball 100 is considered amazing and pandey is some amazing player because he can play run a ball I know we wont be winning any tournaments for years to come We will keep making safe 280+ scores and get our asses handed to us by NZ, Australia and even England because we still have the safety first approach. The world has moved on but our ODI team still uses the 2000 strategy Cricwala, Turning_track and Vk1 1 2
beetle Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 Team owners should stick to ipl and not interfere in either national or domestic cricket. Apni aukaat mein rahein .

It's upto the selectors on whether or not to get influenced by it.. I'm fine as long as he did not write to them or call them with his suggestions.. Twitter is a vent out place. I don't care what anyone says out there
