Thread to discuss some basic Indianness we all should sneer about. Like breaking traffic rules. Jumping the queue. Spitting etc. How stupid is this blocking traffic and dancing in the middle of a tunnel? I am sure if there was a thulla there, they’d mind their own business

Those samples (there's many of them) who are a combo pack if one considers the number of traffic violations they commit simultaneously:

1) Wrong side driving (most dangerous and annoying)

2) No helmet (most common)

3) On the phone, sometimes using one hand to type (as insane as wrong side)

4) triple seat driving/family vehicle

5) broken/missing lights and/or indicators

The combo pack of first three is pretty much everyday scenario, other combos are also easily available.

At signals or in a traffic jam?

Checking out IG stories for gossip or ICF match threads for the lulz is OKAY.

Opposite Century Bazaar, headed towards Worli naka, I've seen a guy drive a BMW half on the footpath and half on the road to beat traffic!

Not the casual look at the phone at the red light. I'm talking driving (sometimes on the wrong side) and full on attention on mobile phone besides some other mentioned violations. It isn't uncommon in tier 2/3 cities with 2 wheelers going at noticeable speed and driver attempting to multi-task at the expense of safety. If necessary I honk these guys rather than get into an argument.

Lack of hygiene, no lane system, narrow roads, bad roads, complete disregard of any traffic rules, pedestrians crossing the road wherever and whenever they like, people spitting and pissing anywhere, the list goes on.. This will probably never change in my lifetime.
