I was impressed with how normal he looked as an opener- except for one unnecessary hook shot, he was looking flawless. And then the softest dismissal possible.. its amazing how often this repeats. He rarely survives a good spell and in the occasions he does survive, he throws it away anyway

 

Its not even just technical abilities he just don't want it hard enough. I have more faith in Gill right now to play a blinder in second innings

did you stop watching after that? they moved a fielder to long on after the six and all he did was meekly prod against lyon, not a single shot towards offside. If Hazlewood didn't get him he would have holed out to long on against lyon in another couple of overs
