Popular Post Gollum
Against an ATG attack, 4th innings saving a test, semi-new ball when they came in together, enormous pressure, not much batting left. Vihari's hamstring injured, Ash took some brutal body blows esp against Cummins, rode their luck a little bit but as they say fortune favours the brave. Enormous mental strength, outstanding application, balls of steel!!!!! Vihari 23*(161); 3h 45 min Ashwin 39*(128); 3h 20 min Both knocks worth more than daddy 100s 62*(258) will be remembered for a long long time. dial_100
Indeed. I have not seen such a great fight back in a long while. Aus GOAT attack couldnt get 8 wkts on the last day. Link to comment

bowl_out
In the end, draw with just 73 runs short.. If not for Vihari's injury, we would have been within touching distance Link to comment

R!TTER
After 2001, Kolkata in particular, the best series by far I've seen in ages! In terms of a fightback arguably better than the MCG win, between what transpired since Adelaide - 2 tests that'll go down the best ever IMO as far as away tests are concerned. I still rate Kolkata slightly higher because it changed that mindset we'd been carrying since mid 80's - this could be another break that makes us better, much better in the future! MechEng
India might not be like West Indies and Australia in ruthlessness and that's okay. But the brand of cricket they play has the fighting spirit: 1.) 2001 Kolkata 2.) 2010 Mohali test 3.) 2011 Durban test against Steyn at his peak 4.) This test match at SCG! I too feel this is Better than kolkata becz it's on Australian soil with their full pace attack bowling 140+ bouncers at both these batsmen. And Vihari batting with an injured hamstring. kubrickian
Extraordinary effort, especially Vihari and Ashwin. Showed so much patience, grit and determination. This is the most number of overs India have batted in 4th innings of a test since 1981. Link to comment

The quality of batting was higher and scoreboard and psychological pressure infinitely more. But this is very special also. Frustrated 1 Link to comment
