What can Modi or anyone else do? If people are unwilling and/or incapable of following simple instructions. 

 

Wear a mask, wash your hands and keep your distance. Really. Are they so hard to follow?

 

I blame lack of personal responsibility for the virus proliferating to the level that it has.

@coffee_rules In your video I saw so many Muslim women, and NONE of them was wearing a mask. 

 

Nonetheless, all of them were wearing Burqa with already mask installed in it by default . 

 

I wish, Islam would have also ordered Muslim men too to take Burqa, then it would have solved the problem of Covid completely.

Modi should be blamed also but at the end of the day, it’s the lackadaisical attitude that has been the main issue. No one from my dads side of the family back home has taken the vaccine even though the health officials came twice to give them. What can they do? They see a few cases of people being hospitalized after taking the vaccines that they become **** scared to take them.

Actually, Same here. However, I insisted that my brother  and parents take it. Seeing that many of my relatives took it. Dad got serious reaction to vaccine but fortunately came out of it.

 

Now, I was blaming myself and no one in my famly would have forgiven me. Its a moral dilemma but people like us should make such calls. Risk is high but sometimes be prepared to take the blame. 
 

None of my relatives will appreciate amount of social/family ( not medical) risk I was taking and they would have been singing the blame tune for years to come if something untoward happened to anyone.

Most importantly, it takes 2 - 3 weeks after the 2nd dose for max immunity.  I just hope this was drilled into people again and again.

With testing itself getting delayed, some patients get diagnosed too late or not at all and pass away. Their death is tagged as a heart attack or some other reason other than covid.

Also, due to saturation of medical facilities, many people must be dying of diseases other than Covid. It's a complicated issue.
