There have been articles about me not wanting to play Test cricket. Just to clarify, I have always prepared myself for all three formats irrespective of the team selection and will continue to do the same.

He was foolishly played in england loi series without proper rehab after coming back from injury in ipl. India should have flown him

only for test series as they did with Pujara and Rahane. He would have got 2 weeks of additional rest and imagine him bowling in edgbaston on that pitch..

That would be true if the match was at Lords or another one of those grassy knolls.  Seems like Southampton will be a patta or - at the very least - not a meadowland pitch with 6 inches of grass under 6 hours of cloudiness.

He does not have it in him to sustain long spells at a decent pace . His test career is done. Never should have played the format in the first place but we simply had no options.

If Bhuvi is not playing in England, then chances are he might not play anywhere else, With emergence of Siraj, I think Bhuvis Test career is pretty much on the hooks...but we still need Bhuvi in our LOI setup, he's still has allot of cricket left in him, I also see a very good fast bowling mentor in Bhuvi and if he BCCI associate him with the under 19 level just like Dravid, we will see good bowlers coming through from under 19, the way we see batters coming out of junior setup under Dravid.

I guess it was couple of years back when he got injured but kept on playing IPL instead of resting. Perhaps that aggravated his injury.

We missed him badly on our tour of England 2018. He was born to bowl in English conditions. Also his lower order batting would have been handy in swinging tight matches.

Bullshit, he could have been  our Asif, his test stats are amazing and most of it was without "pace"

 

 

Any other forward thinking country would have groomed him as a test bowler and cut him out of LOIs

But LOIs are his stronger suit, not tests. In tests, he mostly played on helpful pitches. His stats in tests are misleading as he was only played selectively. Very difficult to judge. His wickets per match are on the lower side too. He can be very good on certain surfaces and countries.

We don't know how helpful he would be on other pitches becuaee he was never given a fair chance. We keep hearing this helpful pitch excuse but his line and length are more suited for test 

 

On the same pitches others played with him too and he has also picked up more wickets with the older ball 

 

There is no proof he is more suited for LOIs, in fact he has been average in LOIs

Yeah sure. Let's ignore the fact that Asif averaged 40 + on flat wickets in Pakistan and had a much higher release height than Bhuvaneshwar Kumar did which helped him extract a fair bit of seam movement. Bhuvi's strength is his accuracy and ability to extract movement in helpful conditions.  At best, he would be a horses for courses pick . The likes of Shami, Ishant, Bumrah, Siraj, Yadav all have a higher ceiling than he does 

 

He is a liability on flat tracks and against decent batsmen. Dont bring up the Kolkata test against NZ which skews his bowling stats because that was a seamer friendly pitch that was laid out in 2016 .
