Is it Time to Stop Considering Hardik Pandya as an All-Rounder?

Guy barely bowls and when he does, he's not that effective anymore. Batting vs Spin has also declined. 

 

Have we reached a stage of diminishing returns with him as an all-rounder?

I think he will bowl in t20 world cup but other than that he will mostly play as batsman from now who can bowl couple of overs if really required.

Yes. He can still bowl 4 or 5 overs in odis when required though but we can't go with 4 bowlers + hardik in odis right now.

He does not qualify as an allrounder.  But it seems most of us here are pissed off with his overall attitude and body language as well.

Has a shameless sort of smile after bowling garbage and on top of that had a pathetic batting display in 2 consecutive games against ranked 9th side.

No game awareness or any sort of seriousness whatsoever.

I never thought the day would come when I would say this but at the moment, Krunal is more of an all-rounder than Hardik.

Both together do not make one  allrounder right now.

Hardik has shown in his career that he is good enough but he has also shown in his career that he is not much more than just good enough.

He is decent player at best who has the potential to be elite level in LOI.  I think he will have a mediocre career.  Dude is wasting his prime years.

Do not forget he was absolutely crap in the IPL as this year till the time it was played. I think he should make his mind up whether he is a batsman or all rounder. In the T20 series coming up, he should not be batting below 5 imo.

That ship has sailed. He's drowning in a sea of mediocrity. Looks worse now than when he first came onto the scene. No single facet of his game has improved.

If you don’t improve in 5 years of long rope than questions will be asked. He is a very talented cricketer but needs that setback to evolve. I mean he got away with making some silly comments about women in the me too and woke era, that’s the kind of backing he has got. Rohit had the wake up call,Jadeja had it, Ashwin had it. Time for Hardik to go back to the drawing board and come back a better cricketer, but knowing BcCI will be promoted to A+ contract.
