Say sorry to Gavaskar now that Pujara and Rahane contributed to win this test match

Apology to Gavaskar

  1. 1. Will you apologize to Gavaskar if this match ends up in draw

    • Yes, I will. He has always been right about backing these two batsmen
    • No, I won't. I still stand by my criticism of Gavaskar's senile comments about these two batsmen
    • Not Applicable. I never criticized Gavaskar for his support of these two batsmen.

Not a day or two ago, Gavaskar again extended his support of this batting duo that "they won't rip their shirts".

Now, the question is what if Pujara and Rahane end up saving this test match. Surely, the youngsters could not have shown this much of patience.

So, will you apologize him for his backing of these two quiet batsmen or you stand by what you said.

Rahane and Pujara did the following to earn our collective apology.

1. Took their time to get set

2. Batted in benign conditions and played out practically the entire set of overs with old ball with no regard to scoring runs

3. Got out just when the new ball was due with India's lead not even close to safety

4. Exposed the lower order to new ball

Think they just booked their places for the winter tour of south africa

You could see the sense of relief on Rahane's face once he reached 50. Didn't seem like he cared too much about getting out after that. What a team-man - playing an overambitious cut shot on an overpitched ball when he had almost edged on similar shot just a few balls earlier.
