Hardik Pandya has been detained by customs officials for not having declared and not having invoices for 2 watches worth 5 crores.

Starting to think this guy is either in nexus with underworld for match-fixing or is into some other illegal activities . Hope all his accounts and transaction are probed. After recently being accused of rape and now this, this guy need to be kicked out for good.

Comeon. The guy is in poor form but don't throw fixing accusations randomly. He makes 12-13 crs per year from IPL, must be worth minimum 40-50 crores.

There were media reports of him buying Patek Phillipe Nautilus watches back in August '21 itself. Customs guys are being dicks. Do they expect him to carry invoices of this purchase all the time.

You need to carry receipts of new purchases if you are coming back from Duty Free places like Dubai etc. Else you’ve to prove that the items are old / used. There’s no excuses about all these. The Pandyas are habitual defaulters.
Shows how much these Pandyas care about anything. To expect him going out of the way to win something for his team (can’t expect for the country anyway) is foolish.

Those who want to do well, will strive to do well. I’ve very well understood his character. Success & wealth gone to his head. It’ll be his downfall too.

The watches were bought in August, unless it's a new set of the same watches he's bought on this trip.

Having dealt with our customs officials in the past (most of whom are corrupt to the core), I can safely say some over jealous custom guy on duty acted oversmart to be in the news.

There are hazar issues with Pandya brothers and they have not been able to handle the fame and wealth, but that does not make them fixers. Criticise them for their pathetic attitude , but randomly throwing fixing accusations isn't correct.

They are not fixers they are A grade morons and dumb. No sane indian will call him fixers but you never know, he is that kind of dumb who would do something like that just considering it some adventurous thing to do to boast among fans.

I’m not saying they are Fixers.  But he’s been in wrong NEWS multiple times… he’s not the only STAR player India has. But his name does pops up in various news. As they say, where there’s smoke…

All that is down to not being able to handle the newly acquired wealth and fame. Has happened with many innthe past. If these two don't sort themselves out, their career (including in IPL) will soon be done.

BTW Pandya has not been detained, his watches have been confiscated. Given that these are Patek Phillipe rare collection watches, should be very easy to ascertain if they are new or old.
