jf1gp_1 Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 (edited) I find Indian cricket boring for separate reasons. We usually steamroll but critical games get steamrolled. Its all very predictable. Edited November 18, 2021 by jf1gp_1

We keep on picking trundlers and make our batting top heavy in LOIs. Too many dibbly-dobblies make it easy for the batters to hit when they are batting with intent in big matches. The middle order does not have enough practice and fail if they have to bat long in critical matches. Pollack, Suhaan, Mosher and 8 others 6 2 3
Popular Post Vk1 Posted November 18, 2021 Author Popular Post Posted November 18, 2021 They have elephant sized egos so they wont copy successful tactics of Eng/WI in batting aggtessive/ trying to hit as many sixes as possible and pea sized brains so no innovation has come from Indian cricket in last few decades.. mystery spinners/ wide yorkers/ slower bouncers/ knuckle balls/ reverse sweep/switch hit.. all innovation from other countries.. if someone gets out to a scoopshot morons like Gavaskar or Ajay Jadeja will criticize that player.. infact old prick Gavaskar still thinks that playing a cover drive with feet to the pitch of the ball, high elbow etc in T20 is a great thing.. and half the time they timepass in commentary talking nostalgia with some sidekick like sivaraamakrishnan calling old prick as skipper.. move on morons Laaloo, Jungnu, Suhaan and 11 others 1 3 9 1
deepdynamo Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Australia T20 WC 2022 Rohit-Rahul-Kohli will be 1-2-3 and will play close to 12-15 overs between themselves with average strikerate of around 120-130 India ODI WC 2023 Rohit-Dhawan-Kohli-Rahul will be 1,2,3,4 and play safe till 40 overs. Don't expect any changes for next 2 years. This template from last 5 years is sick! Norman, express bowling, Bigg Brother and 5 others 4 4
Bigg Brother Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 (edited) 100% True...The Current team don't excite me at all.. There was a time when T20 matches used to instill different energy. May be it's overkill and the current set up including players and management is very boring to watch. If erased from our memory that we are in 2021 now and asked about the year,it still look the same as it was 7-8 yrs ago. Hardly any progress has been made or even attempt has been made. ShoonyaSifar Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Are we the fans willing to back young players willing to go against the norms and fail in the process? I remember how Pant was attacked for bein a 'brainless slogger' when he failed in a few games trying to be aggressive. We picked a mystery spinner in Varun, he was mocked for having no mystery after 3 games. Same with Rahul Chahar. Saini came in touched 150 kmph in LOIs, but was expensive. Was immediately chucked out. I see Prasidh has already been called as being not fit for international cricket. Don't blame the system. We the fans also are impatient and want results immediately from youngsters, which is unlikely to happen. A Maxwell, Wade or a Stoinis kept failing repeatedly but Australia backed them. Unlikely such a thing will happen in our system. sorak, coffee_rules, Suhaan and 3 others 2 1 3

With India playing so many games with the same bunch of players there is nothing like a surprise element for opposition teams . When KO matches come, they are ready with their plans for bowlers esp. and also batsmen. Secondly there is no improvement , new skill added by our bowlers , In fact they regress with time . All spinners world over have improved their bowling skills over the years be it Adil Rashid, Ish Sodhi, Zampa, Shadab, in recent matches Shamsi , Maharaj. and even Moin, In India people like Chahal, Kuldeep Jaddu have regressed . New guys have not made that big improvements either. Not enough skillful pacers suitable for T20 in the pipeline . Many of young pacers are not even playing for state teams Plus Injury ridden. Young batsmen as of now look more like boom or bust . Need time and exposure which is not coming their easily. Even some of the regulars like Pant , Iyer have a well below strike rate .
SK_IH Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 I ll be honest I watch Indian cricket these days just for fantasy cricket, as you said India play such retrograde & boring cricket. Even yesterday the template was same as last 10-15 years. raki05 and Suhaan 2
raki05 Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 What's the purpose of opening with Rohit and Rahul in all format. Rohit should not play t20 and rahul should bat in middle order, Shaw and Kishan / Iyer should be top 3 and than in middle order you should have sky and rahul followed by pant only if he improves. Shreyas iyer is stoke less wonder he should be chucked out of t20 team. Rohit,Iyer,Bhuvi ,Chahar should be complete no no in t20. Bring in young fast bowler like umran, saini(not so young),Siraj and Tyagi should be t20 pace bowling unit. That's when you will enjoy. But we have habit of choosing wrong players in every format , i dont expect much from Dravid as well as entire system is lethargic and corrupt. express bowling, Laaloo, SK_IH and 3 others 6

Lord Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 its like they are still stuck in 2011 and 2013 because we were successful then. Infact 2011 side was more aggressive for its times than current one SK_IH and raki05 2

Sean Bradley Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 The way the administers are running the sport is even more scary to say the least. Cricketers (especially Indian), the way they are squeezed and squashed around the calendar with tight schedules, just to milk the money out of Cricket is appalling. Cricketers have no respite. England Test, in between that Indian B side in Srilanka, then IPL, then WT20 and now this meaningless T20 bilateral, it feels like cricket is shoved down the throat of Cricket lovers. Rather than sitting back and enjoying the sport, we are not sure what to follow and what not. Anything in excess is not good, greed of BCCI is taking the charm out of the sport. There is no wait or anticipation left for a cricketing season. It's like cricket pasand hai? Yeh le BC, Le aur Le, Le G@@Nd Mara !! raki05 and Norman 2
