Can't believe we almost lost chasing just 148. Rahul is a mental midget in big matches, Kohli & Rohit almost finished as batsman. This top 3 wourld put pressure on middle order more often than not. The situation is completely contrasting from last Asia cup where we were over reliant on top 3.

 

What should we change and how can we turn around our batting from next game?

Very low score..had we to chase less than 100 today, We would have done the same as Afg

 

There is no dew this time, so batting second is not as easier like in the T20 wc. It's preferred to bat second  because of the T20 format

• SL gave **** total and their inexperienced bowler bowled crap
• This was an inexperienced bunch but not as inexperienced as SL bowlers ...............naseem, dahani, rauf are experienced in leagues atleast if u compare to pathirana and madushanka 
• Todays was used pitch , used pitch slows down. On this pitch no one was getting their timing right. If 22 players are struggling with timing that means pitch isnt great

Kela effect. First ball effect. Rohit went into over compensatory mode. He also knows that Lolhi might go next. Hence, the changed approach. Also, he didn't get the strike early on. Ind needs to settle it's batting order. KL cannot open. Pant has to play and we have to fit Hooda there as well somehow.

Before the match KL Rahul mentioned something to the effect of  ' players are humans they get impacted by the pressure of ind-pak game' i was astonished hearing this from an Indian national player, its like going back to early 90's. He is mentally very weak, not sure what he is afraid of. If he can play to his potential he will be world beater, it would be funny if its not this sorry.

Pakistan have the best T20 bowlers for UAE conditions. It's their 'home'.They are tough to beat there. Just be glad we won.

whats annoying is how good a batsman he really is.  Just needs to get out of his own way.

In these conditions, Pakistan bowling is damn good - both spin and pace. Gotta give credit to the opposition. 

 

From our POV, that top 3 is too similar. All right handed,  high elbow predominantly top hand players. We cant afford to keep making that mistake . 

 

This is why I back Ishan Kishen. An aggressive left hander upfront who could have possibly taken down shadab as well.
