We have not improved from Tokyo.

We are a disgraceful sports nation. Beyond disgraceful.

There are 300-320 events every summer olympics.  How hard is it for 1/6th of humanity to not even capture 5 gold medals if it tried ?

Even  tiny african nations, countries you can't find on the map win 2-3 gold medals consistently.

It is not about money or resources - it is about national will and character.

If a stranger asks what a cricketer looks like and you show Rohit, they usually laugh at your face.

Rohit should work on his fitness.

That will reduce his effect. Bit like Inzi bhai

Pawkee twitter exploding right now with all kinds of drivel against India and Neeraj.

Those mfs have been suppressing their frustration for the past 2 months or so with our WC win and their heartbreaking loss to us in New York. All about to come out now...

Well done Neeraj !!. No one got close to 89+ except these 2. Olympics is not a joke. Nadeem surpassed everyone here and deserves Gold. Neeraj hit his best which was good enough for Silver. All good.

We got beat by St Lucia and Dominca this time. Populations of less than 75k:afraid:

Not really. It is about consistency. He consistently puts out his best in critical tournaments. He is not as stockily built as Arshad or Peters. But he is more athletic and always gives his best when it matters. Honestly, he did what he is capable of, more in fact since he got his best throw of the season. But you can't do much when someone else breaks the Olympic record with a monstrous throw.

90m has been breached, just not by Neeraj ever. His best, if we can call it, was bettered twice.

Some times things just happen. Happened to pakistan today

So you’re saying Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem pulled a fluke despite 2 over 90 m throws and the top 3 throws of the tournament and making 5/6 of his throws but not the guy that missed 5/6 of his throws and won silver with a fluke throw. Makes perfect sense lmao.

So what it was one good athlete. Let’s give him the credit and appreciate Neeraj who is an ATG of the sport. 1 gold and 1 silver in Olympics. Let’s take pride in that. Yes I don’t like to see a Paxtani win but it is what it is he played fair and won so no gripe. (Subject to his dope test though. Never know with these guys)

Yeah that could be the case but unless its proven, the record stands. I don't care if pakistan wins. I would like India to win gold and no gold for us is disappointing. Hats off to Nadeem he made the throw. Well played to Neeraj too. Winning silver is also not easy.

Good day all In all primarily due to that Hockey Bronze and Aman's performance.

Hockey is always a special sport for me as I followed it since my Childhood and the first event I remember watching was Sydney Olympics,we always used to finish below 6th,7th place but now we have turned the tides.

Neeraj was a mixed bag but still Silver is a job well done.

Disappointing campaign overall though, should have got more than 10 medals this time around but alas
